Today’s message: Jephthah’s kind of hasty tongue

Judges 11:28-37 & James 1:19

In the Christian faith, a "hasty" believer is a kind of believer or a Christian who relies on his/her emotions without the divine guidance - John 16:13

Characteristics of a Christian with a hasty tongue:

He/she is an emotional believer who speak or act in the heat of emotions rather depending on the the guidance of the Holy Spirit - Galatians 5:25

He or She is a temperament Christian who does not have patience, self-control, and gentleness - Galatians 5:22-23

They generally poor listeners- they speak before listening - James 1:19

They are hasty believers who often speaks without weighing their words- Galatians 6:7

Characteristics of Mature Christians :

They temper their impetuosity -Proverbs 29:11

They prioritise patience - Romans 12:12

Dedicating time for prayer - 1 Thessalonians 5:16

Prioritising contemplation before responding to conflict or making major decisions.
