ICCSA GBVF Desk JOINS WOMEN'S MARCH AGAINST GBVF IN LICHTENBURG.
The Thusanang Trauma Centre, in partnership with Women's Voice & Leadership South Africa, hosted a powerful Women's March Against GBVF today, 27 August 2026, in Lichtenburg. The march, which started at 10h00 from the Lichtenburg Rugby Stadium to Lichtenburg Park, brought together women, community leaders, Faith fraternity and other stakeholders under the theme "Women Against GBVF" with a unified call to "Say No to Violence Against Women." The event formed part of efforts to amplify the message: United Voices, Stronger Women, Safer Communities.
Among those in attendance was Rev Dazuka of the ICCSA GBVF Desk, representing the Inter-Church Council of South Africa. His presence underscored the church's commitment to being at the forefront of the fight against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide. The ICCSA GBVF Desk continues to advocate for safe spaces, spiritual and psychosocial support for survivors, and active partnership with community structures like Thusanang Trauma Centre.
Rev Dazuka joined women in marching to break the silence and end the violence, affirming the message that "Our Voice, Our Power, Our Rights, Our Future." The ICCSA commends the organizers and all women who stood in solidarity, declaring together that GBV must end. Together, we can end GBVF.
