On Wednesday, the 25th of February 2026, Apostle W. Von Scheiffer visited our congregation in Homevale for a divine service and the Rectors of the Kimberley area.

He used the bible text from 1 Kings 19:7 "And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.’"

During the divine service, two souls received the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The choir performed a powerful musical piece to end the service, and the Apostle greeted everyone present.

On the 26th of February 2026, the Apostle W. Von Schaeffer served the Congregation of Meinheim, accompanied by the District Rector of the Area and two Rectors of the adjoining District. The District Elder E. Baise served along with the Apostle in this divine service.

As a basis for this divine encounter the Apostle used a Bible text from Psalm 23: 4, David declares: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”

David’s confidence was not in circumstances but in God’s presence. We need to copy his example and put our trust and confidence in God. David was convinced that God was on his side—not because life was easy, but because God was faithful to him. That is the model of unwavering trust. The apostolic teaching continues with the same assurance: believers live, suffer, and even die in Christ with hope.
The early Church emphasized: Courage in persecution, Hope beyond death. Love expressed through prayer. Praying for the “souls in the departed realm” reflects a tradition found particularly in historic Christian practice. The idea is that God’s mercy extends beyond earthly life, and love does not cease by death -God’s mercy and justice allow us to say with confidence I shall fear no evil… To “copy the life of Jesus” is not just an example externally—He is our example in everything - so much so that when you say “He is our double,” that resonates the idea of: Christ living in us.

Seeing from God’s Perspective
the Apostle demonstrated the image of the black mark on white paper - when asked what you see one is likely to see the small mark on the paper - humans focus on the flaw; God sees the whole. He will not look at what we did wrong or what we did not do - but rather at our lack of Faith.

Young People's Divine Service

Sunday, 15th of February 2026, the Young People of Bloemfontein and Heidedal Districts, together with ministers, gathered at the Heidedal Congregation for a blessed uplifting divine service conducted by Apostle W Von Schaeffer.
The divine Bible text was taken from Romans 1:16, reminding us that we are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes.
The special bible reading was taken from Catechism 4.8, delivered by Sister R. Visagie.

Before the serving of Holy Communion, the congregation observed a moment of silence, allowing time for reflection and preparation of the heart.
The service concluded on a joyful and uplifting note with a moving performance by the Young People's Choir.
It was truly a meaningful occasion of reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth. As Young People, may we continue to stand firm in our faith, confidently proclaiming the gospel and allowing the Lord to guide our paths according to His perfect will.

A Ruby Celebration in Bloemfontein

On Sunday, February 15th, 2026, the Bloemfontein congregation experienced a deeply moving divine service that celebrated decades of faithfulness while also welcoming new spiritual beginnings. Apostle W. Von Schaeffer conducted the service.
As the foundation for the divine service, a Bible text was taken from Psalm 57:1-2: "Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by. I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me."

The spiritual atmosphere was further enhanced by the Holy Sealing of eight souls.

A special highlight of the morning was the blessing for the 40th Wedding Anniversary bestowed upon District Rector, District Evangelist G. Dyer and his wife. After four decades of walking hand in hand through the trials and triumphs of life and ministry, their "Ruby" anniversary served as a beautiful living testimony of their commitment and grace.

Professing Christ

The Kuruman Congregation experienced a day of profound spiritual significance on Sunday, the 1st of February 2026. The congregation was blessed by the presence of Apostle W. Von Schaeffer for the special Confirmation service that marked a beautiful transition for the youth of the Kuruman District.

The divine service was based on the Bible text taken from Matthew 10:32: "Therefore Whoever confesses Me before men, Him I will also confess before my Father".

In short, the congregants were reminded that our faith is not just in words but in the active sacrifices, kindness, generosity, and community support.

District Rector, Priest E. Speelman, was called to serve.

The heart of the service was the Confirmation vow. Four young souls stood before God, the altar, and the congregation to profess their faith and commitment to the Lord. This sacred promise marks the end of their Sunday School journey and the start of their independent walk as adult members of the church.

The entire congregation conveys its heartfelt wishes to the new Confirmands. As they join the Young People, they bring new energy and a renewed spirit to the young people and the congregation.

Investing in Our Kids: A Day of Growth!

On Saturday, the 24th of January 2026, our Sunday School teachers, Rectors, and District Rectors gathered across the Apostle Area for a day dedicated to our youngest members.

It wasn’t just about the logistics—it was about the heart behind the teaching. We dived deep into:

 ◇Mastering creative lesson planning
◇Incorporating music to engage young minds
 ◇Understanding different learning styles

The highlight of the day? This powerful reminder:

“Children don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

A massive THANK YOU to our dedicated educators for your time, your energy, and your love for our children. We are so blessed to have you!
