The Upper Room as a place of purification - continued

Yesterday I touched on a very sensitive topic. The body of Christ often feels judged or condemned when a topic of that nature is shared. Only God is the judge. These topics are addressed because satan and his tricks must be exposed so that we can live freely. Also, the love of God pushes us to speak about these hard-to-talk-about topics. Remember LOVE is the reason behind it all.
We are called to love one another just as Christ loves us (John 13:34), so how can we therefore not talk about matters hindering our walk with God and maintain we have love for each other.
If you truly love me then you’d genuinely help me be a better Christians and help me walk upright. We are here to help one another and be one another’s keeper. Let us guide each other unto the right path and shame the devil. Hallelujah.

If the subject of purity is a sore point for you, take it to the upper room. Hallelujah. On Monday, Ms Tsiu spoke about rising above your flesh, stopping any sort of murmuring and distraction. Taking the battle to the higher level so that holiness maybe your portion.
Sister Nathalie further adds that we ought to recharge ourselves through constant presence in the upper room. You become spiritually fit when you are always in God’s presence. You are enabled to call forth whatever you want to see in your life. Nothing shakes you, nor moves you.

Also Brethren, how we approach the throne of grace is vital. The Upper room is no ordinary place. How you approach it determines the type of outcome. It is important to enter with the end result in mind.

Esther knew being the Queen was the ultimate goal. The bible says she underwent 12 months’ worth of preparations before being presented to King Ahasuerus (Esther 2 :12). She had to be clean, clean, clean first. Furthermore, she had to smell like royalty, talk like royalty and walk like royalty before being presented to the King. Twelve months preparation before you can come before another mortal. How much more then for the King of Kings.

In Esther 4:16 we are introduced to a different type of preparation, before Queen Esther presents herself before the King. The Upper room preparation, hallelujah. Here we see Queen Esther and all the Jews coming together in unity, before the Lord for divine intervention. They fasted for three days and nights and prevailed. They got their reward from heaven.

Likewise, HDM is currently fasting from morning to evening – denying the flesh and preparing the inner man for our 6 pm upper room moment, as we gather at church for prayers. We too have already prevailed in the name of Jesus.

Meeting with God requires preparation too, church (Amos 4:12). It can be preparation for now whilst on earth or preparation for meeting him for eternity.
Matthew 6:20 also highlights the importance of preparations. This scripture talks about a different type of preparation, and that is for meeting God in eternity.

Meeting God requires preparation. Purity is one of the ways we prepare ourselves for our King.
The Upper Room has all the ingredients and recipes needed for our preparation.
When you prepare yourself to meet with the Father, see ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness (Matt 6:33).

THE UPPER ROOM

As our fasting continues , today I would like to share 3 things that we ignore about the Upper Room.

1. The upper room brought forth results because the disciples were meeting there FREQUENTLY (not only for sometime)

Beloved we do not enter the upper room only when we are waiting for the results, for a visitation,for a promise...
Results comes or the promises are accomplished when we are USED to be in the upper room , when we are frequently in the upper room.
But most of the time in our generation we only enter the Upper Room becoz we need something from God ( when we need a job, breakthrough, healing...) otherwise the upper room is not a priority to us.
Beloved if we need to increase spiritually or if we want to have an encounter with God then we need to get used to the Upper Room . Other things in our lives do not need to be prayed for by the man of God but only by your quality times in the Upper Room.let recharge ourselves spiritually in the upper room,let seek to be spiritually healthy in the upper room

Let not be God's profiteers, we cannot Go into God's presence only to profit from Him, let create time to be in the presence of God (no matter how busy we are )as it brings us results that no man can bring, it gives us things that no man can give.
Beloved lets us have a habit to be frequently in the upper room ( in his presence there is fullness of joy 😊)

Greetings Church

So upon reading the story of the Shunammite woman ( 2 Kings 4:8-36), we get to see the importance of seed planting. The woman had offered a room to God. She offered Prophet Elisha a room. She was planting into God’s kingdom. When you plant into God’s kingdom, you will surely reap a harvest.

So the place of prayer is within her home. The dwelling place of the Lord is within her home. Wow wow. So this meant that anyone and everyone in her city who got prayed for, got blessed and touched by God was partly because she had made provision for the work of God to run smoothly.
The Upper Room was in her home. Hallelujah !!!

The Upper Room is a place of revival and restoration. After the Shunammite woman’s son dies, he is not rushed to the mortuary as that is the norm but instead his dead body is taken to the upper room, laid out on the bed and the door is shut. In 2 Kings 4:36, the same boy resurrects. That is the power of the upper room. Every situation has no choice but to surrender to the power within the Upper room. The seed of the Shunammite woman started speaking for her, and her son came back to life.

The Upper Room provides security and protection, that is why the kingdom of darkness that has been tormenting your life would suddenly be blindfolded. They would use all manner of things to look for you but won’t find you. The bible adds that even us would look for our tormentors but not find them. The book of Isaiah 41: 12-13 says “Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Hallelujah hallelujah

Child of God, the upper room is a place of power. This is where you exchange your weakness for power and strength. The things of the world can be overwhelming at times, the burdens of life can be heavy making us spiritually weak, but the upper room addresses all that for us. God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40: 29-31).

The Upper Room is where you get fortified for spiritual warfare. Paul says for though we walk in the flesh,we do not war after the flesh (2 Corinthian 10:3). The upper room therefore provides the tools needed so that when we go into spiritual battle, we become a holy terror for the kingdom of darkness.

Prophet Elisha in 2 Kings 4, enters the upper room and prays to the Almighty God first, before he goes into battle with the spirit of death (the dead boy). The upper room enabled him to conquer because as we see in verse 35, the boy sneezed and opened his eyes.

The upper room is crucial for us believers and everything to us.

Scripture: Acts 9:36-41

·We see the disciples showing their faith when the situation appeared hopeless, while people were overtaken by grief and were preparing for Thabitha’s burial (THE END).

·The disciples in Joppa did not allow their reasoning to get in the way of their faith. They believed in the resurrection power of the name of Jesus Christ that Peter used in Lydda for restoration of life.

· Today examine the level of your faith -when faced with serious challenges, what is your first point of call?

·Peter had to first clear the room from distractions (weeping and wailing – LEVEL OF FLESH ) and had to focus on hearing from God, for the miracle to take place!

·What are the situations that appear to be dead or impossible to turnaround in your life? beyond repair? Are they bigger than our Saviour Jesus Christ?

·Decide to rise above your flesh. Starve your doubts, murmuring and distractions and take your battle to the higher level. At the mention of the name Jesus every knee shall bow! Phil 2:9-10
