Women’s Day Brunch, Paint & Praise

On 29 August 2026, Kalbaskraal Sunday School hosted a special Women’s Day Brunch, Paint & Praise event at SpesBona Hall from 09:00 to 12:00.

The event was a wonderful opportunity for women to celebrate, create, connect and be inspired. Guests enjoyed a three-course brunch, a thank-you gift, painting activities, inspirational talks, Sunday School performances, musicians and plenty of fun and fellowship.

The event brought everyone together in a joyful atmosphere of praise, creativity, encouragement and appreciation, celebrating the strength and value of women in the community.

Su***de Prevention Awareness

Following the Divine Service, everyone had an opportunity to take part in a meaningful su***de prevention awareness activity by writing a note of encouragement. The notes served as a reminder that a few words of kindness, hope and support can make a difference in someone's life.

The Young People (YP) were also encouraged to wear yellow as a symbol of hope, awareness and support for su***de prevention.

The message highlighted that su***de prevention begins long before someone reaches a crisis. By creating caring and supportive environments within our families, church and communities, we can help people feel connected, valued and supported.

Everyone can play a role by recognising warning signs, encouraging open conversations, building resilience, and reaching out to those who may be struggling. Strong relationships, supportive friends and family, connection with others, healthy coping skills and access to professional help can all provide protection and hope.

Let us continue to encourage one another, listen without judgement, and remind those around us that they are never alone.

God is beyond all human control.
