Issachar Alliance

Issachar Alliance Welcome to Issachar Alliance! Issachar Alliance currently gathers apostles from Southern & East Africa.

We gather apostles who are church planting in their nations - our goal is to serve these men and their teams so that they are equipped to do the work of church planting, extending the kingdom of God into new, unreached areas. Our intention is that as we serve one another through relationship, gifting and shared resource we will multiply our work to see many churches planted into unreached people groups.

It’s an exciting week for us!

The Issachar Chiefs from East, Central and Southern Africa are gathering this week for a time of fellowship and seeking God together. Our hope is that together we will gain even greater clarity about God’s vision for our alliance and build a shared understanding in us of the road ahead.

Please pray that God will unite us together as never before, deepen our relationships and lead us clearly as we work together to reach the unreached with the incredible news of what Jesus has done!

URGENT APPEAL: HELP A FAMILY IN YEMEN

For more than ten months, Pastor Ishaq has been detained in Yemen. His wife, Maryam* and their four young children have been left without their husband, father and provider during an extremely difficult and uncertain season.

The family is now struggling to meet their most basic needs. They are in dire need of food and are at risk of losing their rental home having accumulated significant rent arrears.

We are appealing to the Body of Christ to help bring immediate relief. Any contribution could help provide emergency food, settle their outstanding rent and remind this family that they have not been forgotten. If you would like to contribute, please use the Issachar Modern Day Mission Link and comment “Yemen” to help get funding to this family in need.

Please pray for Brother Ishaq’s protection, strength and his release and for God’s sustaining grace over Maryam and their children. Pray for urgent provision for their rent, food and daily needs. Pray for peace, justice and restoration for the whole family.

Please share this appeal and help us stand with our brothers and sisters in Yemen.

Although Kyaw Than Myat* had heard something about God before, he did not understand the gospel. At a young age - questions about life after death began to stir in his heart. Scripture tells us that God “has set eternity in the human heart,” and Kyaw’s longing to understand his eternal future drew him closer to Jesus.

When Pastor Zin Min* shared the gospel with him, the yearning and questions in Kyaw’s heart responded to this incredible news - and he answered, placing his faith in Jesus, and trusting Him for eternal life and a hope-filled future.

We praise God for His jealous, pursuing love for the lost. And we are grateful for the faithful workers serving among unreached people in Myanmar - sowing, praying and standing ready to harvest as God prepares hearts. Thank you for praying for Myanmar and for partnering with us as we see His Kingdom advance in this nation.

God is drawing people from unreached communities to Himself - and these faithful workers in Myanmar are ready to gather the harvest.

Lyson, one of the Issachar Chiefs - recently shared with us about a remarkable service in Malawi. As the church interceded, God began stirring the hearts of the people, and His presence was deeply felt. One woman, dressed in Muslim attire, was so moved that she began to sing with joy.

As the service started, people from Ntcheu who had heard what was happening called in and joined through audio calls. God was drawing people beyond those physically gathered in the room.

The presence of God changes everything. When God moves, He awakens hunger, releases joy and draws people to Himself. This is one of Issachar’s core values: gathering around His Presence and dependence on His Holy Spirit. We long for more than successful meetings, trainnings or growing ministries—we long to see people encounter the living God and entire communities transformed by Jesus.

Lyson shared with us “The Lord is really wonderful.”

Please pray that this hunger will deepen and lead into lasting discipleship, transformed lives and communities increasingly shaped by Jesus!

Flash floods have swept through Nepal’s northern districts yesterday after a collapse of glacial ice and rock sent a wall of water, mud and debris through the Himalayan valleys. Entire settlements have been swept away, roads and bridges destroyed, and many have lost their lives. Unstable terrain, damaged roads and the threat of further flooding are making rescue efforts extremely difficult.

Nepal lies within the 10/40 Window and remains one of the world’s least-reached nations. It is currently estimated that 183 of Nepal’s 194 people groups are unreached.

This means that 26 million people - around 88.5% of the population - live within unreached people groups. 124 groups are considered “frontier” groups, with fewer than one in every thousand people identifying as Christian.

Please will you join us in praying for Nepal’s small but faithful Church to be strengthened and equipped to serve - to bring the hope and peace of Jesus.

For doors to open among communities that have not yet heard of Him and for revelation of what He has done for them!

Pray for those who are grieving and waiting for news of missing loved ones. For the people who have lost their homes and livelihoods. For protection and strength for rescue workers reaching isolated communities, and or food, shelter and medical assistance to reach those in need.

We are praying that the people of Nepal encounter the nearness of God in their suffering, and that His Church be His hands and feet in the midst of this crisis.

Twenty-five new believers have been baptised in Chad! We praise God for every life that has responded to Jesus and for the faithful men and women serving Him in this nation.

We’ve recently been connected with a growing network of faithful leaders serving in Chad. Members of the Issachar Support team hope to travel to Chad soon - not arriving with all the answers, but ready to listen, learn and discover how we can best stand with those serving faithfully in Chad which is home to 70 unreached people groups.

Please pray for these new believers, for the courageous local leaders serving in Chad and for our coming time with them!

Tata Zakhile recently visited Phiwe and his team from Harding, joining them in their evangelism and outreach efforts in the community of Weza.

They experienced a beautiful openness among the people they met and prayed for, and were encouraged to see people respond to their invitations and begin attending Bible studies. It felt like the grace Jesus described: “I sent you to reap what you have not worked for” (John 4:38).

This is the beauty of Kingdom partnership -leaders encouraging and strengthening one another, and God multiplying what is possible when we step out in faith together.

It was a deeply encouraging time for the church in Harding. We thank God for His faithfulness and for what He is orchestrating in the alliance - as Chiefs stand alongside Chiefs - accomplishing together far more than any of us could alone!

What encouraging feedback from Zenas! Fifteen church leaders were strengthened and inspired through Colin and Pam’s Biblical Theology training. We’re excited to see how God will use all that they have received through this! 🙌🏼

We’re excited to share a glimpse of what God is doing among the leaders in Pakistan!

Here Pam chats to Pastor William, one of the amazing leaders from Lahore. Its been encouraging to see how the teaching is not just adding knowledge, but is strengthening and emboldening these leaders and bringing much joy!

11/08/2026

Colin and Pam have returned to Pakistan to continue building with the Issachar Chiefs and their leaders. Together, they are working through Biblical Theology, equipping these leaders with a deeper understanding of Scripture so they can, in turn, teach and disciple others.

This time, the training has been translated into Urdu through a series of teaching videos, creating a resource that can extend far beyond those in the room and become accessible to pastors and leaders across Pakistan.

Please join us in praying for these Chiefs and leaders as they receive, grow and prepare to pass on what they are learning. Our prayer is that this investment would strengthen the Church in Pakistan and multiply through leaders who will disciple others throughout the nation.
