Theme : He is known, therefore I am known
I speak to you about identity in Christ, and I draw your attention to the account of the seven sons of Sceva in Acts 19:11–16. This is not just a story, it is a revelation of spiritual identity.
Udentity and spiritual recognition
There is a realm where your identity cannot be borrowed. Spirits do not respond to titles, they respond to truth. They respond to who you are in Christ.
Acts 19:15
“And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?”
You see, it is possible to speak the name of Jesus without being known by Him. Authority is not in repetition,it is in relationship, transition from disciple to brother
After the resurrection, Jesus did not call them servants,He called them family. Something shifted.
John 20:17
“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
This means you are not just following Him, you are born of Him. His Father is your Father. This is where authority begins.
inherited authority
The power you carry is not your own—it flows from your union with Christ. You are not trying to have authority, you are operating from it.
Matthew 28:18
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
If all power is given to Him, and you are in Him, then understand what flows through your life.
the atmosphere of faith
When your identity is settled, your environment cannot remain the same. You carry something. You release something.
Acts 19:11–12
“And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”
This is the reality of a man who is known in the Spirit. And this is your reality as a believer.
🔥 He is known… therefore I am known.
