Today the Parkdene Baptist Church celebrated 43 years of ministry. Since 1983 God has carried us! Rev Debbie Bruce led the service as we gave honour to God for His mercy over the years. Rev William Bruce preached the Word from Ecclesiastis 3 with the theme: "It's a new season!". He reminded us that we all go through different seasons in our spiritual lives but God wants to bring change. We don't have to be worried as we must just walk in His ways. Our seasons may all differ but we serve the same God! We must just have a hunger and thirst for Him!

This morning we celebrated our last Sunday of Women's Month. Led by Sis Eldolene Bergman, we were blessed with song and testimonies. Pastor Ester Abrahams preached the Word from Judges 4 v 4 - the story about Deborah. The sermon was titled: "Women, know your season!". She reminded us that God wants to use us in a specific season. We all have had winter times in our lives but Spring is ahead. How do we move from Winter to Spring? We must be obedient to the Word of God and must not forget to thank Him for all He has done! In the end of the story, Deborah stood in victory just because she was willing to be used by God!

This week various Pastors and Church leaders came together in Cape Town for the annual IC3 Conference and what an amazing time was had! We thank God for churches who can work together and empower themselves and others, to serve God's Kingdom. We are also honoured that our own Pastor Debbie Bruce, as Deputy President of the Baptist Convention, was also a guest speaker.

As we continue Woman's Month, Pastor Debbie Bruce led the service today. Elder Monica Saptoe encouraged all with the example of Abigail, the Wise woman in the Bible. Women should always act and speak with wisdom. It is important for woman to always cover their families in prayer and bless them, as they could be the cause of their downfall.
