What a blessed time we had in the House of the Lord today! Elder Willene Daries led the service and we were encouraged by various testimonies and song. Pastor Sharifa preached from Jeremiah 1 v 5 with the theme: "Purposefully planted". She reminded us that God knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb. He purposefully formed us and that He chose us for a purpose. We are not forgotten! She used the illustration of a chess board. Throughout time, with every move God made, the devil tried another move. And every time God would come back greater! Even when Jesus was hanging on the cross the devil did not know that God's next move would bring us salvation! Check mate! We are planted for purpose!

Today we celebrated Penticost. Despite the state our church after the storm, we came with thankful hearts to celebrate Christ as one. Rev Debbie Bruce led the service and Rev William Bruce brought the Word. He preached from Acts 2, the story of Penticost. We were reminded to share our love, to have unity, and that great things happen when we stand together!

Today our Sunday School children were honoured to receive gifts from the Samaritan's Purse. The look of excitement and gratefulness on the faces of our children cannot be explained! Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

Today we had a very powerful Leadership Empowerment Session presented by Pastors Shaun and Daneel Eagan. We focused on the fact that church leadership is stewardship. We are custodians of God's truth and builders of Kingdom culture. We were reminded that we are servants of God people and carriers of hope for the next generation. Individually, we had they opportunity to delve into our own lives. So many times we look for the fault in others, while the fault is actually with us. When we give 100%, we can expect 100% in return! Thanks to Pastors Wiliam and Debbie Bruce for believing in the empowerment of our leaders!
