The original church building, which is now the parish hall, was founded in 1934 and blessed by Bishop Hugh MacSherry, and was used as an outstation for Eucharistic Heart Church in Cambridge. This building has undergone major renovations and now boasts a double-story presbytery. Bishop Hugh Boyle opened what is now the church building in 1952.

A Mass of Reparation was held at Holy Trinity parish in Braamfontein following the desecration of the parish altar earlier this month.
A Reparation Mass is celebrated by the Church in response to serious spiritual violations or acts of desecration. It serves as a moment of prayer, healing, restoration and reconciliation, reaffirming the sacredness of the church as the dwelling place of God among His people.

Concelebrating the Mass with Cardinal Brislin was parish priest Father Russell Pollitt SJ. Assisting at the altar were Deacon Billy Davis, Father Lawrence Ndlovu, vicar for liturgy and master of ceremonies, as well as the cardinal's secretary, Father Vusi Nhlapo. On this blessed Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026, fill my heart with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Guide my thoughts, words, and actions today so that I may live with faith, peace, and love. Strengthen me to follow Your will and to share Your light with others.

Come, Holy Spirit, renew my heart and lead me closer to Jesus Christ. Amen.
