The church must recognise that behind the smiles of many young people are battles that adults may never see. Some are struggling with rejection, loneliness, low self-esteem, academic pressure, financial difficulties at home and the fear that they will never become anything significant. Others are surrounded by environments where drugs, alcohol, crime and unhealthy relationships have become normal.

This is why the church cannot simply tell young people what they are doing wrong. We must give them somewhere to belong, someone to talk to and something meaningful to live for. The church should be a place where young people encounter Jesus, discover their identity, develop their gifts and find godly mentors who will walk with them.

This Sunday, we are taking a stand in prayer! We are fighting for our families, our communities and our country. We are believing God for victory in our health, our wealth, our homes and our future.

We refuse to surrender what God has entrusted to us. We will pray, believe and stand together!
