For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. Worldliness is also internal because it begins in the heart and is characterized by three things
1. Cravings of physical pleasure - preoccupation with gratifying physical desires
2. Craving of everything we see- coveting and accumulating things, bowing to the god of materialism
3. Pride in our achievements and possessions - obsession with ones status or importance

satan tempted Eve (Gen 3:6) he tempted her in these areas
in the wilderness , these were three area of attack(Matt4)

is possible to give the impression of avoiding worldly pleasures while still harboring worldly attitudes in ones heart
