On this Youth Day, we celebrate the gift, strength, and calling of young people in the body of Christ. You are not too young to make a difference, and you are not too small for God to use. The lord has placed purpose, potential, and power within you. As Scripture reminds us, " Let no one despise your youth," because God can shape your life into a testimony of faith, leadership, and hope.

This is a generation chosen to stand for truth, walk in holiness, and shine a light in the world. In a time where many voices compete for your attention, may you choose to hear the voice of God above all others. Stay rooted in prayer, grounded in the Word, and committed to living a life that honours Christ. Your choices today are building the future you will live tomorrow.

To every young Methodist: keep believing, keep serving, and keep growing. God is not finished with you yet. He will strengthen your steps, guide your decisions, and use your life for His glory. May you rise with courage, walk with wisdom, and live with faith that inspires others.

As we remember those who sacrificed their lives for a better South Africa, we would like to celebrate the 50th Youth Day with our youth across the nation and wish that the Lord may bless you, protect you, and lead you into your divine purpose.

A memorable moment from last week's Synod saw the Bishop-Elect invited to greet the gathering.

With deep gratitude, she acknowledged the Bishop for extending an invitation that was not required, yet reflected remarkable leadership, grace, and inclusivity. She expressed appreciation for the privilege of being part of the Synod and for the example set by such servant leadership.

Addressing the delegates, she called upon the Church to pray earnestly for the journey ahead as preparations continue for the repositioning and relocation that will unfold from 2027 onwards. With faith and expectation, we were reminded that God is already at work in what lies ahead.

The countdown has begun. It is time for the Young Women’s Manyano 21st Annual District Convention at Wodehouse Forest Circuit 326. We are called, sinedinga, siyakhunga.

On behalf of the District, our Bishop extends her heartfelt support and prayers to all delegates, leaders, and members preparing for this sacred gathering. She encourages the Young Women’s Manyano to remain steadfast in faith, united in purpose, and committed to answering God’s call. May this Convention be a time of spiritual revival, renewal, empowerment, and growth as we gather in fellowship and worship under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

May God grant safe travels, wisdom in all deliberations, and abundant blessings throughout this Convention. We look forward to witnessing His mighty works among His people.

A remarkable moment from last week's Synod unfolded when the District Lay Leader invited the Bishop-Elect to come forward.

In his remarks, he first expressed sincere appreciation to the Bishop for extending the invitation to the Bishop-Elect to be part of the Synod. Drawing from his many years of leadership within the Church, he reflected that while such provision may exist within our structures and books, he could not recall witnessing it in practice, even during previous episcopal transitions.

He described this gesture as a powerful reflection of what Kumkani Hintsa District stands for — a spirit of transition marked by unity, continuity, and mutual respect. It was a reminder that leadership is not merely handed over; it is shared, nurtured, and embraced.

The Lay Leader further thanked the Bishop-Elect for honouring the invitation and making time to be among us, assuring her that the District does not take such a meaningful gesture for granted.

Indeed, some moments speak louder than resolutions, and this was one of them.

In an emotional and inspiring address, the Bishop expressed her sincere love and gratitude to every department of the Church from the Children's Ministry, organizations, officials, management structures, and every member who journeyed alongside her. Her words reflected the same message she shared during her induction: that we should love one another as Christ has loved us.

As she departs, she leaves behind a legacy marked by unity, compassion, peace, and servant leadership. The message of love that welcomed her into the District continues to be the message with which she bids farewell.

A special moment:-Certificates of Recognition and Appreciation were presented to Mdantsane North Circuit 339 and the circuit in our District. Thank you for your unwavering support, commitment, and dedication to the Kumkani Hintsa District from 2022–2026. Your faithful service has not gone unnoticed — it is deeply valued and sincerely appreciated.
