Today is the Feast of St Charles Lwanga and his companions, martyred in Uganda in 1886. Pray for us🙏

James Katende: As we remember the holy Uganda Martyrs who gave their lives in 1886 for their unwavering faith in Christ, we pause to thank God for the powerful witness they left for generations to come. Their courage, sacrifice, and steadfast devotion remind us that true faith is not merely spoken but lived, even in the face of suffering, rejection, and persecution. Their lives teach us that there comes a time when each of us must let go of the "old self" so that God may create within us a renewed heart and spirit. We are called daily to die to pride, anger, selfish ambitions, unforgiveness, fear, and every habit that keeps us from becoming the people God created us to be.

The Uganda Martyrs understood that following Christ required complete surrender, and through their example, we learn that there can be no resurrection without first experiencing the cross, no victory without perseverance, and no sharing in God's glory without remaining faithful through life's challenges. Heavenly Father, as we honour their memory, grant us the grace to walk faithfully in our own journey. Strengthen us when we face trials, encourage us when we grow weary, and help us to remain steadfast in our commitment to You. May the witness of the Uganda Martyrs continue to inspire believers throughout the world to stand firm in truth, righteousness, and love. We humbly ask for their prayers and intercession, that we may grow in holiness, wisdom, humility, and courage.

❤️🖤 Congratulations to the Holy Family Sisters as they celebrate 206 years since the founding of their Congregation on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity ❤️❤️❤️

It is wonderful that this day falls on the same day as our Parish Patronal Feast Day, making this a particularly special occasion for both the Sisters and our parish community.

🙏 We give thanks for their faithful witness and dedicated service, and pray that the Holy Trinity will continue to bless them and their mission 🔥

🧺 🥪 What a wonderful way to celebrate our Patronal Feast Day! ☀️🙏

🌞 Blessed with beautiful Durban weather, parishioners gathered to enjoy fellowship and a shared picnic as we celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity.

A joyful afternoon spent together reminded us of the strength of our parish family. By the end of the day, there was one thing everyone agreed on … we definitely need to do this again!

This weekend, during the Gloria at all Masses, the candles placed around the church, first lit when the building was dedicated, will be lit to mark our patronal feast.

May the light of Christ shine upon all those we hold in our hearts as we celebrate our Parish Feast Day.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity and the Feast Day of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.

🙏 As a parish family, we give thanks to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit for the many blessings bestowed upon our community. May the love, unity and communion of the Holy Trinity inspire us to live our faith with joy and to share Christ's love with all we meet.
