STEP OUT IN FAITH

When Jesus walked on the water during a storm, there were two responses. Peter got out of the boat, despite being terrified, and walked towards Jesus. When he doubted Jesus caught him by the hand and challenged his faith. The others just stayed huddled together in the boat, waiting to see what happens. What would you have done? What should you do in your proverbial storm?

ENOUGH

After healing and teaching the whole day, Jesus's disciples asked Him to send the crowd of 5000+ home for supper. He answered: "No, you give them something to eat." And then He miraculously multiplied what they had available so that there were even 12 baskets of leftovers. Is what you have available too little? Trust the Master to make it enough, and give Him all the glory for the miracle.

PRIORITIES

Jesus desires mercy, not sacrifice. So, He healed a man's shrivelled hand to reveal the shrivelled hearts of the rule keeping Pharisees. What good is it when we keep every law but we have no love in our hearts for those who need Jesus's healing touch? When our heads are focused on doing what is right, but our hearts miss the ministry opportunities? Let us ensure our priorities are aligned with His!

STORMS

A furious storm came up on the Sea of Galillee and Jesus was fast asleep. The disciples woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and calmed the storm. He can do that for us too in whatever storms we might be facing. Trust the Master of the winds and waves with your storms and watch Him do a miracle...

PRAYER

Hezekiah prayed on his deathbed and asked the Lord to heal him, and God answered his prayer. When we ask in faith and our request is in God's will for our lives, we can be sure that He listens and will give us our heart's desires. And even when he doesn't answer our prayers, time spent in prayer is never wasted. Talking to the God of the universe is an investment in eternity. 🙏🏻

NEW LIFE

Elisha died and was buried. While some Israelites were burying another man, they suddenly saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet. We might not be raised from the dead in this life, but we are also given second chances. What do we do with the new life God blesses us with?

ENOUGH

There are many people in this world who struggle and poverty is a reality that we see around us every day. But when God's children are desperate for provision and turn to Him, He will provide according to their needs and there would even be enough for them to make a decent living too. Do you trust Him completely? And are you a good steward with what He puts into your hands?

TESTIMONY

Elisha followed Elijah faithfully and even asked if he could have a double portion of his mentor's spirit. He trusted that Elijah truly was a man of God because his life proved it. Is your life - thoughts, words, actions, attitudes - a testimony to who you are? And does that testimony point people to God? What must change for your life to be more aligned with who you are in Christ?
