Meet our Musical Minister ✨

Lusanda Beja is a prominent South African contemporary gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader from Gugulethu, Cape Town. Known for his dynamic and joyous Mzansi gospel style, he rose to prominence after competing in the 2008 reality TV show I Want to Sing Gospel. He was raised in a deeply musical family in Gugulethu with grandparents as pastors and a powerhouse singer; his mother, Dideka Beja.

Lusanda dedicated himself to full-time gospel ministry in 2005. He released his widely recognized breakout album Jesu ’Lidwala in 2018 following his early independent work. He is active in organizing local faith-based revivals and major gatherings like the annual Cape Town International Gospel Festival and Indumiso Enkulu.

He is the Founder of Bema Exclusive Events, an events company in Cape Town; and recently tied the knot with his wife, Mrs Zimkitha Beja.
