You are called to finish the work. You are called to the finish line. Don’t get tired now

As individuals, and as the Body of Christ, we are called on a mission, and we need to finish our assignment. We need to finish the work God has called us to do.

Sometimes we are tested, sometimes we have trials, but the Lord Jesus said that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Don’t miss what God is doing now while waiting for the big miracles. Stay aligned, hear His voice, God is always speaking and the Holy Spirit is always moving.
Don’t miss what God is setting you up for by not recognising what He is doing now.
Lean on the Holy Spirit, He is our helper for daily life. Don’t be destructed.

Stay the course, stay focus, keep your eye on the price and God will reward you.

Finish the work you have been given for the glory of God the Father and of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As long as we are still on this earth, we have work to do. But we cannot do it alone, and we cannot do it in isolation. Genesis 11 narrates an instance where the Lord was moved to go see what the people were doing because they moved in unity.

John 17:22 states: "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.”

The Lord Jesus’ prayer to the Father was that His Body, the Church, becomes one.

As a Church we are called to move as one, and we are called to carry each other’s burden. There is a blessing in unity. When the Church is one, God will add to their numbers and a united Body is an impactful Body that brings change into a community.

Ask yourself: am I in unity with the house where I’m at (unity in thought, vision, mission and cause), or am I being a stumbling block?

Worshipping God is more than a song.

Worship should emanate from a sincere, obedient heart, it is a lifestyle, a way of living.

Some of us have turned worship into idolatry: worshipping our own ideas, political views, cultural habits, the gifts that the Lord blessed us with and valuing our ministries more than the One who gifted us those ministries. Worshipping everything else instead of worshipping God.
And then there are some of us who use our good behaviour as a means of bribing God.

Ask yourself this question: What is my posture towards worshipping a Holy God?

Worship is a full package.

We have reduced worship to singing Sunday songs at church and view the level of goosebumps we get as an indication of the anointing we think the worship carried. But singing is just a small portion of worshiping God.

John 4:4 - “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Worship is about recognising and revering an Almighty Holy God, Creator of all things, which leads to love, obedience and total submission. It is the giving of oneself from a surrendered heart.

This Sunday we learned about the spiritual camera.

Many people slow down when they see a speed camera because they know it is watching and recording. But what about the spiritual camera? God Himself sees everything.

Psalm 139:1–3 reminds us that nothing about us is hidden from Him. We cannot live as though no one sees or as though our choices have no consequence.

Yet God doesn’t only see our failures—He sees us as His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). He is calling us to return to Him and live with an awareness of His presence.

As we celebrate Women’s Month, women, God is calling you to rise with faith and courage like the women in Scripture. Let your voice not be silent. God can use anyone who is willing to trust Him.

Faith based decisions will always matter and can positively impact not only us, but our families, our communities, and even future generations.

Jochebed’s story in the Bible was short, but her faith and impact lives on.

• Faith, made Jochebed not fear the king. It gave her a courage that made her only see God in the situation she was in.
• Faith, made Jochebed act by hiding her son. She trusted in God’s sovereignty, yes, but she also took deliberate steps to protect her son. Jochebed’s actions demonstrates that faith isn’t passive; it’s active and participatory.
• Faith, made Jochebed stay closer to God, giving her wisdom and discernment on where, when and how to hide him.
• Knowing her identity (her name means “YHWH is glory,” “Jehovah is glory” or “the glory of God”) and knowing her lineage (a lineage of priesthood) gave her another level of conviction.
• And then she saw and recognised her son’s destiny and refused to bow to the king’s edict.
• Everyone knows the mighty Moses, most are surprised to hear he once had a mother.

Also, don’t be dismayed if you don’t get the recognition you think you deserved. Heaven knows, and has called you by name.

Questions to ponder over:
1. In what situation are you finding yourself in today? Does your faith make room for God to move?
2. Can you remain faith-filled, faithful and ok to be faceless?

We all know the story of Moses, a man who God’s hand was mightily upon and who God used to do countless of miracles, signs and wonders. He was used by God to deliver the Israelites from captivity from Egypt; and received the Ten Commandments from where the moral law of humanity is derived. Moses was the man who God talked to as if talking to a friend.

But before Moses came to be, there was Jochebed. The mother whose very name was mentioned in the Bible almost as in passing. A mother, who under Pharao’s decree to exterminate all newborn baby boys, decided to entrust the Lord with the life of her son, by hiding him and then later putting him in a basket and hide him in the Nile River.

What follows in Exodus 2 is a story of a mother’s love, sacrifice, faith and God’s providence.

Are you in a situation in your life, right now, where you don’t know where, or whom to turn to? Then head over to Exodus 1 and 2 and try to see the hand of God in every page, in every sentence, in every word.

Jochebed’s story was brief, but her impact was lasting. All because she chose to trust.

The principles of the Kingdom of God are contrary to that of the world. We are called to rejoice in situations where we would like nothing more than to cry.

In God’s Kingdom barrenness does not necessarily mean childless, it speaks of lack in one’s life even when you spent time and time again on your knees crying out to the Lord. Barrenness speaks of a dry place, desolation, unproductiveness, an emptiness one can’t make sense of. But the Lord is calling us to Sing as the key to unlock the prosperity and abundance of what you are trusting the Lord for.

How does this look like? Isaiah 54:2
• It looks like singing and rejoicing
• It looks like changing your focus off your worries and challenges and focusing on the Lord.
• Extending your tents… God wants to bring massive growth to you. Make room and prepare for growth.
• Not limiting yourself and not be paralysed by the enemy’s voice.
• By lengthening your cords. Reaching out and strengthening yourself in the Lord.

Going deeper and growing stronger.

As we celebrated Women’s Day yesterday, we heard about the strength of a woman. A strength that is there even in the midst of hardship. Women are protector, they are nurturers, resilient, and like a ribcage that protects the most valuable organs, you have the inner ability to build back and stand in spite of the challenges.

We looked at Deborah, a prophet and the first female ruler of Israel. Deborah had a calling on her life. Just like Deborah, there will come a time when God will call us to a life of commitment and sacrifice. Deborah submitted herself to the call of God: as a prophet, as a leader and as a warrior who defeating Sisera, the commander of the army of Caanan. This victory came to her after a man refused to take the lead without her.

Villagers in Israel would not fight; they held back until I, Deborah, arose, until I arose, a mother in Israel"[Judges 5:7 (NIV)].

We like Deborah need to realise when the Lord is calling us to a specific task and to rescue a situation.

We also had the privilege to be ministered by our Sister Laverne Chantal Dampies from Vertical Perspective in song and poem.
