A memorable divine service in Lavender Hill

On Sunday, 23 August 2026, Apostle Robert Worship conducted a divine service for Lavender Hill congregation. It was a special and memorable occasion, attended by all the Rectors of the Retreat District. Shepherd Deon Louw, Rector of the Retreat East congregation, served alongside the Apostle.

A particularly joyful highlight of the service was the sealing of 12 souls, who received the Holy Spirit.

The choir concluded the Divine Service with a powerful rendition of Hymn 257, "I Was Glad," adding to the uplifting spirit of the occasion.

It was truly a beautiful and memorable Divine Service, one that will remain in the hearts of the Lavender Hill congregation as we enter a new chapter.

Apostle Worship Visits Dunoon Congregation

On Sunday 23 August, Apostle Robert Worship conducted the 8am divine service at Dunoon Congregation in Table Bay District. The Apostle was accompanied by District Rector CEV Jason Smal.

Evangelist Lance Julies was called along to serve.

Two babies and one adult received the sacrament of Holy Sealing.

The choir concluded with a joyful rendition of Hymn Collection 280 "I will magnify Thee"

The Apostle greeted the members, and afterward the congregation celebrated in an intimate fellowship

FESTIVE SUNDAY IN VALHALLA PARK

Apostle Robert Worship visited Valhalla Park congregation on 09 August 2026. Priest Bradley Benjamin was called to serve.

During the divine service, 39 souls received the Gift of the Holy Spirit. After the celebration of Holy Communion, 1 Priest and 1 Deacon was ordained and 1 Priest was reinstated.

The choir, children's choir and the congregation performed a powerful and uplifting rendition of “Praise my soul the King of heaven” accompanied by the organ and brass players.

On Wednesday, 05 August, Apostle Worship visited Crawford congregation.
The Bible text was taken from Isaiah 60:1: “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”
Shepherd Llewellyn Osbourne from Lansdowne congregation was called to serve along.

It was a particularly festive occasion as three souls received the gift of Holy Sealing. The congregation also rejoiced in the ordination of three new deacons: Darryn Crowie, Tadler Adams, and Darryl Willis. We pray that God will strengthen and bless them abundantly as they faithfully fulfil their new ministry.

The choir concluded the divine service with an energetic rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus (Messiah), bringing a fitting close to this joyous and uplifting occasion.

Following the service, the congregation enjoyed a time of fellowship and shared in capturing memorable photographs to commemorate this blessed day

Leadership change for Lavistown District

On Wednesday 29 July 2026, more than 1,500 members of Lavistown district gathered at Nooitgedaght for a divine service, conducted by Apostle R. Worship.

The sermon was based on the Bible text from 1 Thessalonians 5:19 "Do not quench the Spirit."

Priest H. Benjamin from Kensington district was called to serve. A joyous highlight of the evening was the Holy Sealing of 65 souls. Nooitgedacht received a Deacon when bother Fortuin was ordained. A special moment of appreciation followed when Priest Clayton Barnes was released from his mandate as District Rector of the Lavistown District. The Apostle thanked him for his love and dedication with which he served the brethren, the rectors, and ministers in Netreg and Lavistown districts. Thereafter Priest Hilton Barnes was appointed the new District Rector for Lavistown District.

The divine service concluded on a beautiful, uplifting and fitting rendition of the hymn, "Soon Comes the Day".

Apostle visits Bonteheuwel West Congregation

On Sunday, 26 July 2026, Apostle R. Worship conducted the divine service at Bonteheuwel West Congregation. As basis for this service, a special Bible text from 1 Peter 5: 8-9a was used.

CEV L. Arendse served alongside the Apostle during the divine service.

A special highlight of the service was the celebration of the sacrament of Holy Sealing, where 11 babies, 6 children, and 1 adult were sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit. This joyful moment was witnessed by the entire congregation and marked a significant milestone in the lives of those who received this holy sacrament.

After the closing prayer and benediction, the choir concluded with a powerful rendition of Hymn 369 "O sing praises"; The Apostle warmly greeted the congregation.

A Blessed Sunday in Langa

Apostle Worship visited Langa congregation on Sunday, 26 July 2026. The sermon was based on 1 Peter 5:8–9a, reminding the congregation to be remain spiritually alert, steadfast in faith, and to resist the evil one.

The congregation was blessed to witness the Holy Sealing of Baby Dlungana, a beautiful and sacred moment for the family and the congregation.

During the service, Priest Zolile Kasana was called upon to serve alongside the Apostle, adding to the joy and blessing of the occasion.

After service, the Apostle visited a member who could not attend the divine service.

On Sunday, 12 July 2026, Lincoln Estate Congregation experienced a truly blessed and memorable Divine Service with our Apostle Robert Worship.

Despite the winter chill and the early 8am start, the church hall was filled with warm fellowship, uplifting music and smiling faces.

We were also honoured to welcome the retired ministers and spouses of the Athlone District, making this special occasion even more meaningful.

Before District Rector, Shepherd Colin Esau, was called to serve, the Male Choir beautifully rendered the hymn “I Believe”.

Following the Absolution, the congregation witnessed the celebration of Holy Sealing of six precious souls: Baby Sage, Blake, Malakai, his mother Sister Jade, as well as Loraine and Anthea.

The spiritual blessings continued after Holy Communion with the ordination of four Deacons: Sister Merlin Isaacs, Sister Cecelia Serfontein, Sister Nicole Oostendorp and Brother Elroy Isaacs.

After service, the Apostle took time to greet the members, which of course was followed by a delicious fellowship enjoyed by all.

Photography Workshop in Claremont

The first Photography Workshop for our Apostle Area took place on Saturday, 11 July 2026, presented by Dc Samantha van Boom.

The workshop focused on the fundamentals of photography, with particular emphasis on understanding camera settings and building confidence in using a camera beyond Auto mode.

This was the first in a series of photography workshops aimed at equipping photographers with the knowledge and skills to produce quality photographs during church services, activities, and special events.

We are grateful for the positive attendance and participation and look forward to the remaining workshops in the series.
