Sunday morning’s main reading was from Matthew 16:13-16 on the theme:

“Celebrating 118 Years of Grace - Who do the people say I am?”

We celebrate 118 years by God’s Grace, not because we impressed the public, but because, for 118 years, God has been faithful and has kept revealing Christ to us.

We survived because, generation after generation, we heard God’s word say, “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes unto the Father but by Him.”

Public opinion changes, but revelation doesn’t change. Let us be a church that cares about our testimony and lives from our identity, deeply rooted in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

On Pentecost Sunday, our main reading was from Acts 1:6-8 on the theme:

“The purpose of Pentecost - Empowerment for Spiritual Alignment”

Pentecost is a celebration of dependence on God, gratitude, joy and generosity. On this very day, almost 2000 years ago, the Holy Spirit was poured out in the Upper Room, as promised by our Lord Himself. And in the words of our Lord, the purpose of sending the Holy Spirit was SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT!

For us to always have a helper, a comforter, a close companion, a guide, as well as someone to pray and (our Advocate) to speak on our behalf when we have no words or whenever it is in our best interest to be silent. So, on those days when we feel broken, discouraged, alone or lonely, perhaps just feeling down, if we walk in and with the Holy Spirit, help is never far away. This Helper will then bring us back into Spiritual Alignment.

Sunday morning’s main reading was from Mark 4:35-41 on the theme:

“Jesus calms the storm”

1. We all experience storms at times, spiritual storms, maybe it's relational storms, maybe health storms or financial storms. Jesus is still the one who can calm your storms. He is still the Master of the storm. The wind and waves still know His Name.

2. Sometimes Jesus is in our boat, but He is not at the steering wheel. In fact, He is "asleep" somewhere at the back, because we don't allow Him to take control. He wants to be the Captain of your ship, not just a passenger.

3. "There were also other ships - just mentioned "by the way" - Mark never tells us what happened to the other ships - typical of our self-centeredness - when we experience storms, we forget about everyone else around us.

4. But what about THEM - how fearful must they have been, in that storm, without Jesus in their boat?

5. God wants us to tell the others on the ships that they must invite Jesus into their boats.

6. Our persecuted brothers and sisters are in their own boats - but we shouldn't forget about them - the storms they experience are much worse than the storms we experience.

Thursday, Ascension Day’s main reading was from Acts 1:10-11

Jesus Christ's ascension positions us for His return. His ascension was the beginning of greater things.

The Holy Spirit transforms and aligns believers.

One man's mission is every believer's mandate.

God never changes; His commission still compels us to work and wait on His return.

Sunday morning’s main reading was from Esther 4:12 on the theme:

“Mother - Position for Royalty”

Your condition is not your conclusion. Where you are right now is not the end of your chapter. God is writing beyond our pain, beyond our fear, beyond our hostile season.

God is calling more than just mothers. He is calling all of us to shift - to realign - back into our original position. We are positioned for royalty, for a time such as this.

Like Esther, we are challenged to - Move out of fear and into faith. Move out of hiding and into alignment with God’s royal purpose for our lives.

Sunday morning’s main reading was from Matthew 26:36-39 on the theme:

“Lest I Forget - Purpose”

It’s right there in our Gethsemane moments where God is allowing us to be pressed from all sides, positioning and preparing us, getting us ready for what He wants us to do.

An unbroken vessel cannot contain sustainable fire – the human heart is tested, broken and humbled to ensure we do not become boastful.

When we are pressed from all sides, life comes forth. It is within our Gethsemane moment where we can reflect on His love and sacrifice.

Sunday’s main reading was from Judges 7:2 on the theme:

“Victory belongs to Jesus”

God is not reliant on our strength or ability. But He looks for those humble in spirit, and if we choose Him, He will be all we ever need to be victorious, no matter the challenge before us. God finds a man hiding in a winepress (Gideon), from the weakest clan and the lowest in his family, to pull and cut down altars built for foreign gods and raise up an altar for God. God fights for Him as Gideon and 300 soldiers defeat an army of 135,000. God can do the same for anyone willing to draw close to Him. And no matter the challenge, victory will be certain with God by your side.

Sunday morning’s main readings were from Joshua 24:14-15 and Revelation 3:20 on the theme:

“Alignment - It is a personal choice”

The question remains: Who will you serve from today onwards?

Will you continue living for yourself?

Will you surrender to the God who created you, loves you, and gave His Son for you?

Joshua made his choice. Now it’s your turn.

Sunday morning’s main reading was from Acts 1:4 on the theme:

“Alignment Posture to Power”

POWER is THE EVIDENCE of the Intense persistence in WAITING.

WAITING and still BELIEVING

WAITING and still HOPEFUL

WAITING and still TRUSTING

I TRUST WHERE I CANNOT SEE, LORD!

ALIGNMENT requires THE POSTURE in WAITING in order to move to THE POWER OF EVIDENCE!

On Easter Sunday, our main reading was from Isaiah 53:10-12, on the theme continued:

“Align with the Cross Positioning for His Resurrection”

The Resurrection is not just a Past event; it is a Present reality and a Future hope.

Aligning with the cross and positioning for His resurrection requires allowing Christ to be resurrected in our lives through new birth.

Let Christ arise, and let His enemies be scattered! As we align with the Cross, we are positioned for His Resurrection power to be revealed in us and through us.

The One who was crushed now sees His offspring. The One who suffered now shines in the light of victory. The One who was raised now justifies many. And the One who lives forever now intercedes for us.

Church, when we align with the cross, we don’t just look back at Calvary - we step forward into resurrection life. His triumph becomes our testimony, His intercession becomes our strength, and His resurrection becomes our reality.
