Church on the Table “SURRENDER”

Yesterday, around the table, we did more than study the Word we allowed the Word to study us.

Our theme was Surrender.

We spoke about what it really means to surrender our lives, our plans, our fears, our disappointments and even the things we struggle to place in God’s hands.

Surrender is not giving up.
Surrender is trusting God enough to let go. ❤️

As disciples of Christ, we are continually learning that following Jesus means saying, “Lord, not my will, but Yours.” It means allowing Him to lead, shape, correct and transform us.

And perhaps that is the beauty of Church on the Table we come as we are, we open the Word, we ask the difficult questions, we listen to one another, and we leave challenged to live differently.

There is room at this table for you.
Room to learn.
Room to grow.
Room to ask questions.
Room to surrender.

Come sit with us at the table.

“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.” Psalm 37:5

On Sunday our young women met together for an afternoon of learning, laughter, and life skills because growth isn’t just about the mind, it’s about the hands too.

A huge thank you to Sally, who taught our young women how to bake the most adorable mini dognuts! From measuring ingredients to shaping the dough and watching them rise golden and sweet, it was such a joy to see confidence rising right along with the batter.

Beyond the baking, today was about connection young women learning together, encouraging one another, and discovering that new skills can be picked up with a little patience and a lot of support.

Proud of every young woman who showed up today ready to learn something new. This is what community looks like.

Men’s Fellowship Meets Young Men🙏 around Table Discussion

On 09 August 2026, our Men’s Fellowship and our Young Men came together for an honest, powerful conversation across generations.

Social Media: We talked about the pressure to fit in, FOMO, and how it can lead to anxiety and depression. Our challenge to the young men — use social media for good: seek motivational content, and become voices sharing Christ with others online.

Relationships: Many shared the struggle of navigating relationships when online personas don’t match real character. Wisdom shared: take time to truly know someone, don’t rush things, and lean on a trusted elder for guidance.

When life feels heavy and direction is unclear, seeking the Lord first brings peace.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Grateful for the honesty and love shared across generations. This is fellowship in action. 🙏🏾

Grace to Grow!

What a beautiful morning of fellowship around the table at our Women’s Day High Tea! Under the theme “Grace to Grow,” the women of Goodwood Corps and across the division gathered to be poured into as much as they poured tea.

We honoured Mrs Hitchcock, the treasured oldest member of our Home League, and celebrated Dorothy, the youngest lady who joined us — a beautiful reminder that grace grows every generation.

Chantelle blessed us with wisdom on growing through biblical financial stewardship, and our Captain unpacked the theme “Grace to Grow” in a way that spoke straight to our hearts. Our lovely Shanai hosted with such warmth as MC, and Nashville ministered to us in song, filling the room with worship. The best dressed vintage outfit was awarded to Ronalda❤️

Truly a table filled with grace, growth, and sisterhood. Thank you to every woman who came to fellowship with us today — you are loved! 🌷🍵

They dared. They climbed. They conquered! ⛰️

Yesterday our young people took on Table Mountain hiking up and down with courage, energy, and faith in every step! 💪🙌

What a beautiful reminder that just as they trusted the path on the mountain, we can trust God’s presence in every high and low of life:

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there… even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” — Psalms 139:7-9

Proud of our youth for stepping out, pushing through, and reaching new heights together! ❤️

Yesterday, the men of Goodwood Corps gathered for an honest conversation on stress and burnout.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) Rest isn't weakness — it's obedience.

We talked practically too: recognising burnout, setting boundaries, and leaning on brotherhood instead of isolation. Iron sharpens iron — no man should carry his weight alone.

To every man who showed up yesterday — thank you for your courage. This is fellowship: not perfect men, but present men, walking together. 🤝❤️

Our Young Women’s Pyjama Prayer Night was filled with heartfelt worship, meaningful fellowship, powerful Bible study, and fervent prayer. We are grateful for every young woman who came with an open heart and a desire to seek God.

Thank you to everyone who attended, served, and made the evening so special. We pray that the seeds planted will continue to grow and that each young woman will walk boldly in her God-given purpose.

Today Goodwood Corps served our community once again right outside our doors, meeting people where they are. Warm meals, warm hearts, no one turned away.

Grateful for our people who always shows up to serve, and for every person who reminded us why we do this. This is love in action! ❤️❤️

“Give, and it will be given to you…” (Luke 6:38)
