Since her passing yesterday evening, millions of tributes keep pouring in honour of the one and only "Queen of country".
The US president, Donald Trump ordered all flags across the country be lowered for one week in honor of Dolly P.
Dolly Parton was born and raised in Tennessee, United States into a family of 12 Children. She was the fourth child...At age 6,Dolly wrote her first song, started performing on TV at age 10 and made her first recording at age 11.
She became a professional songwriter at age 16 and wrote Hits songs for other artists before releasing her first Album "Hello I'm Dolly" in 1967...Dolly went on to become one of the greatest singers of all time...Dolly Parton wrote over 2,000 songs and was nominated for a record 384 times and won 190 awards including 11 Grammy awards.ποΈπ
Aside Music, Dolly Parton was a whole persona, a Great philanthropist and humanitarian who devoted her life in service of her people...The name "Queen of country" was given to her because she loved where she came from and the people. Despite making exploits in the world of music, Dolly never left her native place, she lived there and developed and helped so many families.
Dolly Parton was married to Charles Dean...She said he was her first and last love, their marriage lasted almost 60 years until her husband passed away on March 2025 at 82... Unfortunately, Dolly and her husband had no children. Everytime she's asked about having children, she always replies that God doesn't want her to have her own child so that she can take care of all the children in this world. π₯°
For 30 years, Dolly gave out over 325 millions copies of books π from her "Imagination Library" to children in her town and across the country. She did that to encourage early Literacy for children.
In 2016,there was a devastated fire outbreak in Tennessee where Dolly came from,so many families lost their houses...Dolly gave 10,000 Dollars for over 900 families to help them rebuild their homes and start again. She was always there for the people both young and old.
In a world of counterfeits and imitations, Dolly Parton was truly GENUINE...She gave us a song that became our own stories. "Coat π§₯ of many colors" ,for all mothers who made something out of nothing for their children.π
Dolly will truly be missed, most especially by her hometown and world at large... Like she has always wanted, Today we remember dolly as a lover of humanity who's music, personality and generosity changed generations.
Thank you for all you did,
Rest Peacefully "The Queen of Country." π
