Wednesday – 10 June 2026
Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:9
'God, who has called YOU into fellowship with HIS Son, our Lord, is faithful.'
Reflection:
We all want to be in fellowship with someone. We all want to know that there is someone out there who has our best interest at heart. Today, as we read this verse in Corinthians, we come to the realisation that God has called us into fellowship with Him. We were designed to live in fellowship with God. Such a pity that we settle for less and try to do things on our own in our own strength and at our own speed.
God calls us, He calls us by name. He waits at the gate for us to come to Him and share our lives with Him. So often we just stand out in the cold instead of walking into the warmth of His love and care.
There is so much that we can share with the Lord and get His take on things that happen around us. God has called us into fellowship with Him. He longs to hear us call on His name and put our trust and hope in Him. We can and need to live in this vital union with our Lord. We need to change our priorities away from the little things that keep us busy, and swop them for a real and dynamic relationship with the Lord. God is faithful to His promises. He will always keep His word. He wants to have a relationship with us that fills every fibre of our being. Why settle for less?
Breath-prayer; Father, thank you for always being so willing to be my all in all. Father today we just come to You. Father, I know that You wait for us, You long for us to be in fellowship with you every day. Father, please forgive my tardiness. In Jesus name, Amen.

Tuesday – 9 June 2026
Reading: Acts 6:5
'....and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit...'
Reflection:
This is the most wonderful compliment that anyone can pay to you. To say that you are full of faith! What do people say about your faith. Are you able to exercise your faith when things are going well? Are you able to exercise your faith when things are not going so well? Do you collapse into a heap of misery when things don’t go your way, or are you able to square your shoulders and trust that the Lord will see you through this one?
It is easy to talk, and talk is cheap. But when the rubber hits the road, how do we react? Are we able to lift our eyes up to the Lord and trust in Him? Or do we doubt and make our own plans? Do others look at us and speak about the visible faith that they see in us? Will people choose us to do things because of the faith that they see in us?
I am so aware of Daniel’s three friends when they are faced with the fiery furnace, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, the only answer they could give was, We don’t know if our God will save us, but we know that He is able to.
Such faith in the face of all the evil that was around them. All they could do was to cling to the fact that they knew their God, and their God is able to save them. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
Perhaps just for today, we need to just reach our out hands and put them into the hand of God. Trust in Him with all our hearts and not lean on our own understanding.
Will people say of you today that you are full of faith? What a rich compliment!
Breath-prayer: Father fill me to overflowing today with faith in You. Help me Father to put my trust in You. You are in control and You know best for each of us. Help us today Lord. In Jesus name, Amen

Monday – 8 June 2026
Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:28
'God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.'
Reflection:
I sometimes wonder why God choses to use the people and things that He does to bring a message to us. Sometimes I wonder why God uses me to be a servant in His kingdom. I wonder whether you have had the same thoughts.
And then Paul here reminds us that God will use who He will. If we say to the Lord that we are willing to be a servant for Him, then He uses us for His good pleasure in this world. He does not rely on what we think of feel, or how we feel about certain people or things, He uses those who are willing to be used by Him.
God sees things from a different perspective. He did not use only the great and the mighty, He used simple fishermen. He did not choose only the best and the famous, He chose those who would be obedient to Him and those who were willing to be used by Him, like you and I. And so this means that we all qualify to be used by God in a wonderful way to bring His love to a loveless world.
All we need to do is to be willing to be used by God in a mighty and powerful way. We just need to be willing to go onto the potter’s wheel and allow Him to shape us into the people that He intended us to be. Just willing vessels in His hand.
Will you allow God to use you today to be the person He wants you to be?
Breath-prayer: Lord please use me to be the instrument in your hand today. Father, please help me to speak to those who need encouragement from You today. Help me to be a useful vessel in Your hand all day. In Jesus name, Amen

Friday – 5 June 2026
Reading: Jer 7:23
But this is what I commanded them saying: Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.
Reflection:
I am so aware of the presence of the Lord as I sit here this morning. I am so aware that there is so much going on in the world around me, and the hurt and pain is paramount at the moment.
We need to turn to God, and worship Him with all that we are and all that we have. We need to get to the point where we want to hear the voice of the Father guiding and directing our thoughts and actions. He has told us what to do, and still we do things our way. He has commanded us to love each other as He loves us, and still we maim and hurt, kill, steal and destroy. And this is not what He has told us to do.
God has given us a way to worship Him and a way to live with each other, and we ignore it and carry on hurting each other. We cannot expect God, who is Holy and Just, to bring peace, when we are disobedient and wilful. There are two parts to this verse
We need to obey the voice of the Lord and walk in the ways that He has commanded us, and
If we do this, God will bless us and it will be well with us.
We cannot have the blessing without the obedience. The two go hand in hand. We need to listen to and obey what God is telling us to do. We need to turn back to the Lord in all that we do. We need to make the decision to really walk in His ways so that we can do the things that He calls us to do. Please will you join me in turning back to God this morning.
Breath-prayer: O Lord God of Truth, please will you forgive all the times when I have not listened to You. Please would you turn Your face to me and forgive me for not being the person You have called me to be. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thursday – 4 June 2026
Reading: Ps 32:10
Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the Lord, Lovingkindness will surround him.
Reflection:
There is nothing better than knowing that the Lord surrounds us with His lovingkindness every day. He watches over us and He wants us to enjoy the fruit of His hand. So often we get up and the first thing we do is complain about this and that. But just the fact that you are able to get up, get dressed and do something speaks of the love of the Lord.
We have so much to be thankful for, and yet we just complain and complain and then complain some more. We have got into the habit of just complaining about everything. We forget to see the beautiful sunrise, the crispness in the air. We forget to see that we have assets and material possessions. We complain about things that really do not make a real difference in our lives.
We need to get to the place where we just trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not to our own understanding. We need to commit all our ways to Him, and He will direct our paths. There is so much that the Lord wants to give to us, but we take things for granted, and then we complain.
Perhaps today is the ideal day to just take a look and see that the Lord is good to us in every way. Things may not happen as we plan, but through it all, He is good and His lovingkindness surrounds us all the time.
Breath-prayer: Father, thank you for giving me Your Spirit and for loving me every day in every way. In Jesus name, Amen.

Wednesday – 3 June 2026
Reading: Daniel 4:34b
For his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation.
Reflection:
Things on this earth are transient and temporary. Nothing lasts for ever. We want it to, but, it does not last forever. Moth and rust, decay and damage seem to get to the things that we have, and no matter how we try to preserve and maintain, the effects of ageing and wear and tear, just break things down.
We also do not last forever. But then I read this verse in Daniel and I realise that there is only One Person who will last forever, and He is the Lord. There is no beginning and no end to Him. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and He was and is and will forever be. This is something we all struggle to get our heads around. We want to know where and why and what and how, but we cannot fathom the greatness of our Lord. He says that His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts, because His ways and His thoughts are far greater than ours.
God will always be! And then He promises that we can spend that time with Him into eternity. We can be with Him until…..
The question is have you allowed Him to be the Lord of your life? Have you allowed Him into that space in your heart that is reserved just for Him? When we leave the bounds of this earth we go to the place that He has prepared for us, a place where moth and rust do not exist and where He is eternal.
Breath-prayer: Father thank you for making the way for me to spend all my days with You. Thank You that You are not bound to this earth, and that You are far greater than anything I can every think of or dream of. In Jesus name, amen.

Tuesday – 2 June 2026
Reading: Romans 4:21
And being fully convinced that what He has promised He was also able to perform
Reflection:
What does it take to convince you that Jesus is real?
There are so many who continually argue and debate. It is always, “yes, But!”
Paul is writing here about Abraham, the father of the nation, and how he just believed. When God told him to go, he went. He did not ask the questions, he did not present counter arguments and all that goes with that. He just believed and went.
Abraham was fully convinced that God would do what He promised to do, and that was enough. I love watching how children just trust their dads. They will jump, just because their dad is there.
This is faith – faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. We want others to convince us about the Lord and His goodness, but God wants us to believe in His goodness. To taste and see that He is good. He wants us to trust Him in all things. To believe that He will do as He has said He will do. God is not a man that He should lie, and He will do all that He has said that He will do. He will hold you and never let you go. He will watch over you, and never slumber and sleep. He will guide you and guard your thoughts. He will love you.
There are so many promises that the Lord makes to us, and all He wants is that we take Him at His word and believe what He tells us.
Breath-prayer: Father, please help me to believe you in all things today. There are so many things that try to crowd You out of my life. So many distractions and arguments that try to diminish You in every way. Father, in Your mercy, guide me to the place I need to be. In Jesus name, Amen

Monday – 1 June 2026
Reading: Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Reflection:
We all know the disappointment when we have hope for something and it has not happened. We all know the disappointment of promises broken.
But then I know that God will never let us down. He will always keep His word and will never go back on what He has promised. We only need to look at the Word, to realise that every prophesy, every promise that the Lord has made has been fulfilled and His word kept. God is faithful and He will remain true to all that He has said. We make empty promises, and we battle to keep them and then we make excuses why we do not keep our promises
We can rely on the faithful and true word of God and always be confident in the fact that God is not a man that he should lie.
We begin this week knowing that we need to go and tell just one person about the love of God. We need to just tell one person about the hope and the love within us. This is what we have been called to do because God has poured out His love in our hearts, and we would be selfish if we did not share this with someone today.
Breath-prayer: Father thank you for filling my life with so much joy and love. Thank you for giving us the example to follow. To love sincerely and genuinely. Thank you for blessing us in every way, in Jesus Name, Amen
