ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD SERIES
ROMANS 8:18
11TH MAY 2026

Good morning, friends.

"Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later."

In this fallen world, we will endure hardship and suffering. Jesus repeatedly warned His disciples about this to prepare them so that when they did suffer, they would not be caught off guard. God tells us we will go through these hardships, but also that we will experience a glory one day beyond our imagination. Our encouragement today is that it will all be worth it in the end. Suffering is never easy, and we seldom understand why there is so much suffering. Knowing that our suffering will pass and that one day there will be complete peace, joy, restoration, and an end to our suffering helps us to endure now.

Our Heavenly Father loves us and has prepared a place for us. It will be so wonderful and joyful that our present suffering will pale in comparison. God wants us to have hope beyond this life of hardship. That hope is the anchor of our souls. Our hope is in Christ alone.
Our suffering is temporary. Our eternal home in glory is forever. It will be worth it in the end, so may we not give up.

I am going into hospital for surgery on Wednesday, so this will be my last post before I am admitted.
I will be unable to prepare and post my daily devotionals as I am admitted and recover for a few weeks. As soon as I am able,Lord willing, I will resume.
Blessings Sharon

A PRAYER FOR MOTHERS
10th MAY 2026

Our Father in Heaven,

We come before You today in praise and worship.

We thank You, Father, that in Your wisdom and love, you have created and purposed the magnificent role of mothers.
We uphold our mothers to You today. Every one of us has a mother.
We honour the role and purpose that You have created them for.
We thank You, Lord, that You intended our mothers to love us, nurture us, teach us to know and love You and to guide us as we grow and develop in a relationship with You.
Father, some of us have had mothers who have loved and served You. Some of us have not. We thank You, Lord, that even when our mothers have not been perfect, You have still purposed for us to honour them.
We thank You Lord for their sacrificial love, nurturing, guidance, wisdom, protection, and support.
We pray Your blessing over each mother today.
We pray that You would continue to equip mothers with Your wisdom and counsel as they raise children in such a lost, confused, and broken world.
Give our mothers bold faith to teach their children Your Truth without compromise.
We pray for Your protection over them and provision for them. We uphold single mothers today, Lord, who carry a difficult load and pray for Your strength and wisdom to guide them.

We pray for those who have recently been bereaved of a mother and the void that loss leaves. We pray Your comfort and peace as they grieve, but that Your joy and hope would bring strength and encouragement.

We pray for mothers who have experienced the deep grief of a child's passing and that You would bring deep comfort, strength, and hope beyond the pain. Father, You understand the pain of the loss of a child and are able to bind the deep pain of a broken-hearted mother.

We pray for grandmothers and thank you for their wisdom and experience. May we honour them and learn from them.

We pray, Lord, that our mothers would know how important and valuable their role is in raising men and women of bold faith who will love, serve, and obey You as they become adults.

Thank You, Lord, for blessing us with these incredible women.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray.
Amen

ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD SERIES.
PSALM 18:19.
9TH MAY 2026

Good morning, friends.

"He brought me out into a spacious place, He rescued me because He delighted in me."

Do you enjoy your relationship with God? God takes pleasure in His relationship with His children. So often we get caught up in doctrine, theology, religion and law that we forget that God is also our loving Abba Father Who wants the best for His children and delights in us , as a loving parent would.
Do you delight in your relationship with God? He loves you. Do you truly know that and enjoy the blessings of being His child?
God delights in you which means He has extreme pleasure, satisfaction and joy in us.
Be encouraged by that today.

Have a blessed day in the Lord.

ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD SERIES
MATTHEW 6:3
8th MAY 2026

Good morning friends.

" But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be done in secret, and your Father Who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly."

How readily and generously do you give of yourself to others without anyone knowing?
It is in our fallen human nature to want recognition, acknowledgement and even applause. However, God is the only One Who needs to see.
Let us ask ourselves when we do a charitable deed whether we are doing it to serve or to be seen?
Giving without any reward reveals the condition of our hearts.
We do so out of love. May we truly be cheerful givers as we simply bless others.
Have a blessed day as you give of yourself.

ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD SERIES.
2 Thessalonians 3:16
7TH MAY 2026.

Good morning, friends.

"Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all."

Do you have peace?
As believers in Jesus Christ, we have the most precious gift of peace. Our peace only comes from God. We can not find true eternal peace in any other place.
Perhaps you are struggling with something within your heart. You are wrestling and trying to find that peace. It cannot be found in this world, in finance, in friends or in affirmation from others. Our peace comes from God alone.
When we have His peace, everything around us can be in turmoil, but it cannot disrupt our peace.
Our peace is not dependent on our circumstances but on having being made right with God and having His peace.
If you don't have peace, you need to ask the Lord to show you why you do not have His peace.
When we truly know and trust God and understand that He holds everything in His hands, we can have His peace no matter what we may have to face.
We need to guard, protect and cherish our peace. It can be taken from us so quickly if we allow the worries of this world to consume us. If we have unresolved anger, bitterness, regret, or if we blame others in our lives and carry resentment, we will not enjoy peace.
Peace is precious. Pursue peace. Protect peace and preserve peace. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and will grow when we closely follow our Lord.

Have a blessed day in the Lord

ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD SERIES.
PSALM 96:1-2
6TH MAY 2026

Good morning, friends.

" Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. "

When last did you just sing to God. Have you ever just sung a lovesong to God?
It doesn't matter if you don't think you're a good singer or have a good voice or not. Just sing to God. Bless Him. Proclaim Him. Our salvation is reason to sing in celebration and joy.
You don't need to perform for an audience of people. God is our audience. Just share your heart. He wants our hearts. He wants to know how much we love Him. He wants us to rejoice in Him.
We are easily passionate about supporting our sports team and our children and singing for them as we cheer them on. How much more should we sing to our Creator and Saviour.
Have a blessed day in the Lord and sing to Him.

ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD SERIES
5TH MAY 2026

Good morning, friends.

I've had a series of frustrating issues over the past few weeks that have really challenged me. It is easy to get angry when we have been hurt, betrayed, disappointed, and let down. How we deal with our anger is really important because when we deal with anger in the wrong way, it can lead to sin, destruction, and division.
Anger is an emotion we will all experience. How we deal with our anger matters.

EPHESIANS 4:26-27
" And don't sin by letting your anger control you. Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil."
The question we need to ask ourselves is, " Do I have control over my anger, or does my anger have control over me?
If anger has control over us we become slaves to that anger and will think, say and do things we later regret. God has given us His Spirit and a fruit of the Spirit is self control. Anger in and of itself is not sin. How we allow anger to influence our thoughts, words and actions may become sin.
If you feel that anger welling up inside of you, start with these steps: Pause. Pray. Pace.
Bring the situation before God. Ask Him to help you and show you what has triggered the anger. Sometimes we have the right to be angry, especially when we see what sin does. Sometimes our anger is simply an expression of unresolved unforgiveness and bitterness.
God will help you.
May He reveal the root cause to us so we can be set free from that anger.
Unresolved anger is an open door to our enemy. Be sure to keep it closed.
Have a blessed day in the Lord.

ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD SERIES. PSALM 22:3
4TH MAY 2026

Good morning friends.

" Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel."

The Hebrew word for enthrone or inhabit is" yashav" which means to sit or remain. When we actively and intentionally praise God, regardless of our circumstances, we are reminded that He is always with us.
Praise redirects our focus onto God Who is always with us. He never left.
One of the most profound gifts we have as believers is that we are never left to face anything alone. God gives us the precious gift of His presence. We need to pause and let that pe*****te into our deepest pain and loneliest places. Jesus is Immanuel. He does not leave us as orphans and has given us His Spirit. We are not forsaken. We are not alone. He promised to be with us until the end of the age. Now, sometimes we FEEL alone. That does NOT mean we are alone. Praise reminds of the presence of God and that He has always been right there, with us. We sometimes focus so much on the trials and pain of life that we take our eyes off Him.

Imagine being at a dinner table and discussing or debating a difficult situation you are facing. The conversation escalates, and emotions rise. Yet, at the table is Jesus. Sitting quietly but fully present. It's easy to forget that He is there when we are so caught up in our problems trying to fix them ourselves.
When we stop, pause, talk to Him in prayer, and ask for His help, we can celebrate His presence, and we are reminded He was always there.

May we learn to praise Him in the valley and on the mountain top. He is always with us. We just need to be reminded.

Have a blessed day in the Lord.

ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD SERIES.
MATTHEW 5:44
2 MAY 2026

Good morning, friends.

"But I tell you love your enemies
And pray for those who persecute you."

How do you handle those who you consider to be your enemies? Today, we are challenged to do something profound.
God instructs us to love our enemies and to pray for the people who have hurt us, betrayed us, lied to us, and abandoned us.
We are to respond to hostility and hatred with love, prayer, and kindness.
When we do this, we show people the heart of God. The goodness and kindness of God lead people to repentance and to turn to Him.
We are reminded that we were once far from God ourselves and that we were once enemies of God. May we be encouraged to show our enemies grace. It could be the very thing that changes their hearts and brings them to Jesus.
Have a blessed day in the Lord.
