DEEP ROOTS

“If you want to look at the health of a tree, you don’t look at the leaves; you look at what is feeding the roots. A soul rooted in the gospel can never be withered by trial.” — Charles Spurgeon

Colossians 2:7 (AMPC)
“Have the roots of your being firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.”

Our roots have to grow deep! When there isn’t enough water in the surrounding soil, a tree’s roots must reach deeper to find what it needs to survive.

The same is true in our walk with God. Trials and storms can push us to dig deeper—deeper into His Word, deeper into prayer, and deeper into our relationship with Him.

“Storms make trees take deeper roots.” — Dolly Parton

Don’t let the storms of life uproot you. Let them drive your roots deeper into God! When our foundation is firmly planted in Him, we can stand strong even when life gets difficult.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH JESUS?

“Preach Jesus Christ, brothers, always, and everywhere. Every time you preach, be sure to have much of Jesus Christ in your sermon.” — Charles Spurgeon

The world says there are many paths that lead to God, but Jesus tells us the truth in His Word!

John 14:6 (NKJV) “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

Matthew 7:13–14 (NKJV) reminds us that the way to life is narrow, and few find it.

Jesus is not just one option among many. He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE!

When everything in your life falls apart, you need a Savior who will carry you through and never leave you. Why wait? Why not settle this today?

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH JESUS? Will you accept Him, follow Him, and surrender your life to Him?

SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT

Philippians 1:9–11 (CSB)

“God never gives us discernment in order that we may criticize, but that we may intercede.” — Corrie ten Boom

Discernment is God’s call to intercession, never faultfinding. It is woven throughout Scripture, reminding us of the importance of knowing God, obeying His Word, and protecting His people.

Discernment isn’t optional; it can be a matter of life and death. It is only as strong as our relationship and devotion to God.

If we desire discernment, we must seek it from Him and allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives. May God give us wisdom to see what He sees, hearts to pray instead of criticize, and the desire to walk in obedience to His Word.

Lord, give us spiritual discernment so we can intercede, protect, and walk in Your truth!
