Today we commissioned our very first round of 🌇 City Builders! These are leaders who have said “yes” to their role in our re-envisioning process & what the Lord is doing here at City On the Hill. They committed to a multi-weeks’ long process of preparation & training and will help care for the church (God’s people) through leading people in worshipping the Lord together, guiding people to explore God’s word and become more like Christ in holding small groups, and teach students who God is, that he loves them, and has a good plan for their lives.

Congratulations Brandon, Estevan, Gina, Reilly, and Shannan! 🎉❤️🙏🏽

May perseverance have it’s full effect…May we not we not lose heart (2 Cor. 4:16) during trials & trying times - because trials & pain hurt. But, May we be anchored in Jesus where we can find joy, hope, and peace- even in the midst of our most difficult circumstances - and know it can be worked together for our good.

“Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.” ~ James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭CSB‬‬

A few photos from our final day of ✨💡✨ Illumination Station VBS! We met set some new friends, & had some fun at our Finale Rally, where we had a couple of canine visitors 🐶 Thanks to Dr. Chris & Renee for joining us, praying with us, and bringing along the adorable Mason! Thanks to the entire group who helped set up/tear down, and especially to Miss Shannan for all of the hard work she put into planning, and prepping, and to the Kids’ team who give their time each week to make sure our kids learn about their he Bible and all Jesus has done for them. The VBS fun is done and now, we’re so excited for our 🍂Fall Festival on October 17! See our FB event for more info!
