Under the instruction Lindsie Blain of Bartlesville, OK, Susanna Rickman has worked hard to learn to play the violin according to the Suzuki method. Each level of musicianship corresponds with a set 'book,' standard pieces of music that require that she master required techniques and abilities. Susanna has now satisfactorily learned all of the songs for Book 2. Before moving on to the next book, it is customary to celebrate a student's accomplishment by hosting a public performance.

The Rickman family's relocation to Mississippi means that her teacher will not be able to be present in person to perform alongside her. In her stead, Susanna's mother, Sara Beth, will be accompanying her on the piano.

Susanna has already blessed her church with special music on the violin. The church is happy to host her performance and to support her as she learns to glorify God in song more and more.

Jeremy McCoy was made sheriff of Yazoo County in 2024. He protects law and order in our county amidst many challenging trends in rural America and Mississippi.

In this conversation, we go over Sheriff McCoy's history, why he's in law enforcement, what the current picture is, what solutions there might be, and how it is that we can pray for him and his deputies.
