The Central Hilal Committee has confirmed that the moon of Rabiʿ al-Awwal 1448 AH was sighted this evening in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Accordingly:

🌙 Safar will complete 29 days
📅 Friday, August 14, 2026 will be the 1st of Rabiʿ al-Awwal 1448 AH

May Allah make this a month of khayr, barakah, and increased love for and connection to our beloved Prophet ﷺ.

Monday — 5:30–8:30 PM (remote)
Tue & Thu — 5:30–8:30 PM (in person)

✅ Admission: Boys ages 8+ who read the Qur’ān fluently with basic tajwīd. Placement by evaluation with the ḥifdh instructor.

*Safar 1448 AH Announcement*

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

The moon of Safar was not sighted. Therefore, Thursday, July 16, 2026, will be the first day of Safar 1448 AH, insha’Allah.

May Allah make this new month one of goodness, protection, and increased obedience for us and the entire Ummah. Ameen.

Weekly Tafsir Recap: Surah Ad-Duha

Surah Ad-Duha is a reminder that Allah SWT does not abandon His servants.

The surah begins with reassurance to the Prophet ﷺ, reminding him that the pause in revelation was not rejection, and that what was coming would be better than what had passed.

Allah SWT then reminds the Prophet ﷺ of His past care: He sheltered him, guided him, and enriched him. Those blessings then become responsibilities: care for the orphan, do not repel the one who asks, and openly acknowledge the blessings of your Lord.

A powerful lesson from this surah:

The same Allah who carried you through yesterday’s hardship is the One who will take care of what is ahead.

May Allah SWT make us grateful servants who recognize His blessings and use them in His obedience. Ameen.
