Isaac Penington, one of the most prominent writers among the early Friends, looked out over seventeenth-century England and declared it "the time of Antichrist's reign."

But he believed it was still possible, with Spirit's guidance, to walk away from the gods of this world and their empty promises of wealth and power. That guidance remains available to us today—and by refusing, as Paul advised the Romans, to conform to this age, we allow a greater power to work within us, reshaping and renewing our minds in the direction of love.

What does it mean for Quakerism to be multiracial? What could liberation look like for Friends? What stories and testimony tend to be under-told in Quaker spaces?

FGC's Spiritual Deepening Library may provide grounding for these questions. Read reflections from Vanessa Julye, Patricia McBee, Bill Brown, and Barrington Dunbar. Learn about steps that a meeting can take to become more antiracist. The activity page is called "Listening to Friends of Color," and it includes testaments to many Friends' experiences.

🚨 “A child hunger crisis is unfolding in plain sight.”

That was the warning this week from experts over the fallout from Pres. Trump’s devastating cuts to food assistance.

In response to this looming moral crisis, FCNL and our new cohort of Advocacy Corps organizers are mobilizing to demand Congress act to prevent millions more families from going hungry.

This is not a partisan issue, but a moral one.
