Good Morning Ladies,
There are only 50 tickets left for the Chonda Pierce Event. So I went ahead and ordered group tickets today. If you said you were interest I have your ticket. You will pay me $23.00.

Hey Ladies anyone interested? Tickets are $28. Group (10+) $23. If there are enough interested we can get group tickets and take the church van. Event starts @ 7:00 pm. We would need to leave the church by 5:00 pm. To get group rates we would need to know by August 30th.

Good morning, ladies.

I just want to thank all of those who came out to our first Ladies Tea at Orchardville Church, Tea Time with Jesus.

Several ladies participated by wearing their Teatime Hat. Kudos to Sara Hays who was voted “Favorite Hat”. Also, there were six ladies who volunteered to decorate a table for the occasion and kudos again to Sara Hays who was voted “Favorite Table”. I believe her comment was she should have been born in the 40’s and live in Buckingham Palace. Well done, Sara!

We enjoyed a plethora of wonderful Afternoon Tea refreshments which included a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, and many delightful, sweet treats, all prepared by those who came. Delicious!

Vadawn Stroud led us in games and shared an inspirational devotion God laid on her heart, “Don’t Spill the Tea – Don’t Gossip.” She references several scriptures where God tells us gossip destroys. A couple are, Proverbs 18:8 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to the inmost parts. Proverbs 16:28 A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends. Just because we know something it is not ours to share. We should build up not tear down. She referenced Ephesian 4:29 where Paul tells us “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up”. Before we speak, we should ask ourselves, is it true, kind or necessary? Our lives should reflect that of Jesus.

In closing our Tea Time with Jesus, I shared 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”. To have a good cup of tea, the tea needs to steep. By ourselves we are weak; just a cup of hot water. So, we need sit and steep in His word and in His presence to gain strength and for our lives to be full of flavor.

And what better way to complete an Afternoon Tea than to explore Pearls and Proverbs Boutique, Thanks you Vadawn.

Good Morning Ladies. I want to begin by saying thank you to the ladies that joined me in our first Bible Study. This week we finished our study on 10 Reasons It’s Better to Have the Holy Spirit by Andrew Wommack. The study began with John 16:7-11, “Never the less I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father; and you see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world I judged.” Andrew started by stating that Jesus had to leave this world; take our sins on his back, so that the Holy Spirit may come and restore our relationship with the Father. Jesus in his physical body could not minister to everyone of the world at the same time. When he left the Holy Spirit came to dwell in us. You will never be able to relate to God correctly until you understand this positive ministry of the Holy Spirit. The 10 attributes he chose to elaborate on were: The Holy Spirit in Us; Born of the Spirit; Revelation Knowledge; Power; Remembering All; Show Things to Come; Holy Spirit Gifts; Fruitfulness; Comforted to Comfort; Sin, Righteousness, Judgment. The study challenges us to seek the Holy Spirit. He should be your best Friend. He was sent here to encourage you and constantly assure you of God’s love for you. He is the most important and most powerful person in your life. John 3:17 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

We are going take a break through the busy summer months and try to start again in the fall. If there is a topic that you would like to study, let me know.

Ladies I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day. Whether you have given birth, adopted or stood in the gap, thank you for your love and dedication. God has put you here to love and nurture the next generation and I am thankful for you.
