LABYRINTH PROJECT
HELPING HANDS NEEDED!

During the week of May 10-15, major work will be happening on the lawn area where the new labyrinth will be installed (referred to as McCarthy Meadow).

Bluestone Landscapes will be working on preparing the meadow. The weeds will be cleared. The soil will be prepared to receive sod on Friday, May 15. Dale Maples who is coordinating the various vendors is hoping to get 3-4 volunteers to help lay the sod on 5/15. Are you able to assist? Send Dale an email at [email protected] and let him know!

Our labyrinth will be created like one at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Woodland, CA. It is a replica of the labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral (built in 1201 CE), which has 11 paths called “circuits.” Ours is designed with the same basic pattern but will have 7 circuits due to our smaller lawn area. The laying of sod is a major step toward in completing our labyrinth.

Join us THIS Sunday, May 10 at 3 p.m. for our Spring Bloom concert featuring Francesca Anderson, flute, and Dr. Bev Wesner-Hoehn, harp, assisted by The Chamber Strings featuring John Ritter’s Suite Antique. Following the concert, we will have a reception where you can meet the musicians and enjoy some sweet treats. ALL are welcome! Tickets are available at the door or at www.stlukeswoodland.org/events

Thank you to all who walked our labyrinth today as we celebrated World Labyrinth Day. We walked our labyrinth from 1-2 p.m. as we participated in the rolling walking of labyrinths across the time zones.
