The Shepherd's House This is the official page of The Shepherd's House Church. Our measure of success is transformation of our communities.

We, at the Shepherd's House (TSH), have been serving our Middlesex community since August 2006. Our vision is about making a significant and sustainable difference in the lives of people around us—in our communities and in our cities. Community transformation begins at the intersection of the needs and hopes of a community with the capacities and compassion of the local church. Drawing from our sacred texts in Isaiah 65:17-25, we at TSH have found seven areas where we can help serve our community, and they are as follows:
• Public health for all, especially children and the aged
• Housing for all
• Food for all
• Meaningful work for all
• Family support systems
• Absence of violence
• Community celebration and happiness

We encourage our congregation at TSH to work side-by-side with people of various backgrounds. We are constantly amazed at the miracle that happens when people of different faiths exercise social action together, recognizing that whatever our faith we still need food, shelter, safety and security. Our basic humanity precedes our religious differences. There is a Hebrew word, a key term of the Bible during the days of Christ and Second Temple Judaism, for which there is no precise English translation: SIMHAH, usually translated as ‘joy’. This is the “JOY of the LORD” which Nehemiah spoke about in Nehemiah 8:10. What it really means is the happiness we share, or better still, the happiness we make by sharing. It is about sharing what we have, seeing possessions less as things we own than things we hold in trust, one of the conditions of which is that we use part of what we have to help others...to be alert to the poverty, suffering and loneliness of others. The JOY OF THE LORD comes when we SHARE WHAT WE HAVE. Use part of what we have to help others...to be alert to the poverty, suffering and loneliness of others.

Jesus is a fruit inspector. He’s coming to examine our fruit.

The fig tree had leaves — the look of prefruit before the season — but no fruit on it. Form without life.

Then He entered the temple and found the same thing in the Court of the Gentiles, the place where the nations could come and worship God: commerce instead of worship. So He drove the money changers out.

“Form of godliness… all the great shows… but there’s no life in it.”

Have you ever prayed, "God, just show me where to go"? 🧭

Pastor Moh shares a word many of us need to hear. Faith isn't about having all the information. It's about covenant faithfulness, a willingness to step out even when we don't understand everything.

"Clarity only comes when you start moving."

Abraham didn't have a GPS. Hebrews 11:8 says that when he was called, he "obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."

Where is God asking you to take that first step of faith? Share in the comments. We'd love to pray with you. 🙏

Last Sunday, Pastor Moh taught from James 3 on walking in heavenly wisdom. 🌄

Heavenly wisdom isn't just knowing what's right. It's choosing to obey God, even when we can't see the outcome. At the end of Ecclesiastes, Solomon gives the conclusion of the matter: "Fear God and keep His commandments" (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Job shows us what that looks like. Stripped of his health and his provision, Job repented and prayed for his friends. He didn't know how his story would end, but he obeyed anyway. The enemy lost, and God restored to Job twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10).

The circumstances in our lives may change, but God's will and His Word never do:

"And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8)

Wherever this season finds you, this is still the call. 🙏

This Sunday's message is up: Humility & Heavenly Wisdom (James 3:13–17).
Real wisdom isn't just knowing more — it's a life shaped by humility, faithfulness, and doing what God asks, even when life feels messy or unclear.

Last weekend (Sept 13), The Shepherd’s House welcomed back close friends Ps. Daniel Ayroor and Ps. Paul-Anthony Giglio of Voice of Gospel Ministries (VOG) in Kerala, India. VOG reaches communities throughout India and around the world.

During his visit, Ps. Daniel shared a powerful message and prophetic encouragement from Acts 16:9–10 — “The Macedonian Call.” He challenged us to stay ready when God points us in an unexpected direction, and reminded us that this call isn’t only overseas. God places people in our lives every day who need hope, help, and the Gospel.

Ps. Paul also shared about the work VOG is doing in India and how we can support them through prayer, giving, and partnership.

Will you answer the call of God on your life?
