Valentine’s Dinner Recap 💞

What an amazing night of fellowship, fun, and faith! We enjoyed hotdogs, laughed together playing the cup game for prizes, and were blessed by a powerful message from Pastor Gary about the abundant love of Jesus Christ. 🙌

What a blessing tonight was. Our FCA Thanksgiving Dinner brought together about 75 student-athletes and several coaches for a time of community, encouragement, and gratitude. Terri Anne shared a powerful message reminding us that as followers of Christ, trials and tribulations are guaranteed, but Jesus is greater than every battle we face.

We closed the night in prayer, and after a heavy week, that moment of unity and surrender was exactly what many of us needed. Grateful for this family, grateful for this space, and grateful for a God who always shows up.

The Lord showed up at Jersey Night 🤩

UVA Wise Baseball pitching coach Christian Smith shared his testimony of perseverance through countless injuries and seasons of “why, God?” — only to realize that every trial had purpose. God was using his story to impact others. 💪
A reminder that our journey isn’t about us — it’s about Him. Run to God in the midst of your troubles.

Braving the cold, gathering on the UVA Wise baseball field, and lifting our hearts in fellowship—all for the glory of Jesus Christ! 🙌 Despite some field light hiccups, worship continued and the lights were restored, reminding us that nothing can dim His presence. Multiple athletes courageously shared their testimonies, and we are so grateful to the Baptist Collegiate Ministry for partnering with us to make this night possible.

Every song, every prayer, every shared story brought us closer together and closer to Him. Seeing students come forward, strengthened in faith and inspired by one another, reminded us that His love unites us even in the coldest of nights. Nights like these are proof that when we put Christ at the center, His light always shines through. All praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for allowing this event to come together. ✨

What an amazing night of food, fellowship, and faith! 🙌

Alissa shared an incredible message from Matthew 14:25–31, reminding us of the story of Peter walking on water — and how the moment he took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the storm, he began to sink. 🌊

Her challenge was simple but powerful:
✨ Take your step of faith.
👀 Keep your eyes on Jesus, not the waves.
🤝 And remember — even when you start to sink, He’s always there to lift you back up.

No matter what storm you’re facing — stress, doubt, or fear — Jesus is greater. 🌤️
