In times of trouble, we focus on the trouble. Big or small we feel they are the total package of our lives. We lose loved ones. Sickness, finances, relationships. They consume us because we forget who has the final say in our lives. He holds us close. Closer than a brother. Shields us under His wings as a mother hen over her brood. We don’t think of His promises. I will never leave you.
Joseph told his brothers, years after they sold him to slavers and soaked his coat of many colors his father had given him in anomal blood and said to his father he was dead, you meant it for evil but God meant it for good.
Life is not fair. God uses this to make us refined as gold. Reshape us. As the potters hand. He is always good and always does what is best for us.
May God bless you in life and remember that His way is not always on our play list.
This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. ❤️

If we think about why we are drawn to God it’s complicated, or so we think. Never a man spake as this man, said the soldiers of the high priest who were told to bring Him in, but they didn’t bring Jesus to him as he commanded. Never a man sacrificed His life for so many who didn’t deserve it as this man.

There is a hymn we sing, “ What A Friend We Have In Jesus” he knows your name and all about you yet He loves you.
Come to Jesus. He’s waiting with open arms. He offers you life, peace and joy unspeakable.

What makes us think that the devil won’t come at us or even talk to us? The devil himself came and spoke to JESUS when our LORD was in the desert for 40 days. If he is not scared of the SON OF GOD, why do we think that he is scared of us? Cause we go to church? Cause we pay our tithes? Cause we are close to our pastor? Do not be deceived, he will come at you. JESUS showed us how to make him go away for a season. Scripture. I will say it again, SCRIPTURE. The weather has been bad that we couldn’t have church. How many read and studied GODS word? We need to study to show ourselves approved. It’s not what my church believes. It’s not my pastor says this. It’s the word of GOD that will sustain and protect you on our journey home. May GOD bless you.

All of our lives we have heard people say, “ I’m trying my best to get to heaven.”
Why do we always get things backward?
God said so much about the cost of salvation. Through His word and through His Son and the prophets since the beginning of time. Jesus! Paid the cost of salvation. He tried, gave His best and said, “It is finished!”. The trying was done.

“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our part, as disciples of Christ, is to follow. That’s where the trying comes in. We sing the song “I Have Decided To Follow Jesus” then choose our own path. It doesn’t go down the path of loving the lost like Jesus does. Forgiving people we run into daily who get on our last nerve.
In Matthew 5:1-11 (read this today) that we call the Beatitudes He gives us the way of trying.
Not trying to get there, He started with the thief on the cross who couldn’t kneel or raise his hand or do any good deeds. He said remember me. He didn’t even pray the sinners prayer right but heard Jesus say, “Today thou shalt be with Me in paradise”
The trying is to follow the Be Attitudes and asking Him to help us carry “our cross” and follow Him. As long as we are here try to be like Him. May the Lord bless us all in our journey to follow Jesus.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

All this week people have been frantic getting groceries and emergency heat and lighting in place. Shelves in the stores are emptied and anxiety is high. Folks are upset that they can’t go to church today, and truly I miss worship,seeing and visiting everyone today. If your electricity is on you are laid back watching TV and on your phone.
If you have everything on your cold weather check list, but Jesus….don’t rush out to Walmart or Rural King. My brother-in-law says if they don’t have it you don’t need it, which is mostly true.
The truth today is, without Jesus you are lost. You need a Savior, which is Christ the lord the angels told the shepherds. They ran to see Him and worshipped Him. And so can you. Where you are right now. Don’t even open your wallet.
Just ask Him, Lord I have sinned against you. I have doubted or just didn’t believe your promises but today I ask you to forgive me and come into my heart and life. Be my savior. I accept Your promise of eternal life. He will do it. He is there. He knows your name.
God bless everyone and may your days include Jesus as your Savior.

All the gifts in the whole world cannot compare this one! Grace, mercy, love and eternal life! A gift for all people everywhere. If you cannot find peace in your life. If you are carrying a heavy burden. If you feel no one loves you. Ask the promised savior of the world to enter your heart and help you to live for Him. He won’t send a list of things you need to do first. He won’t fuss about all your mess ups. He won’t ask you to learn to be better than anybody else. He will just fill you with a peace that passes all understanding and gently help you to follow Him. Love and peace to all this Christmas Day! Let your life be made new and your future be forever. He came to seek and save that which was lost. Best gift you will ever recieve. ❤️
