It was Graduation Sunday at St. Paul on May 31 where graduates were honored and celebrated. Graduation Sunday service participants included Elijah Davis, Harold Eustache, DarVell Brown, Alannah Walser, Adam Eustache, Miles Isler, Nia Isler and Lauren Patridge. The St. Paul Youth Choir provided worship through music. Kendall Sutton (video) and Jace Isler were the day’s guest speakers. The message was titled, “The Harvest of Humanity,” and the scripture reference was Galatians 6:9-10.

The following graduates were celebrated: Maximus Dixon, Rhyan Ellerbe, Adam Eustache, Landon Hernandez, Serenity Hernandez, Zakaria Holland, Jace Isler, Nia Isler, Madison McMillian, DaShon Ross, Kendall Sutton, Janyla Tarrant, Keegan Ward, Mikya Wilkins and Ny’Onnie Wright.

A reception for the graduates was held in the fellowship hall immediately after worship.

ANNIVERSARY CHOIR
Pastor Pam wants a choir for Anniversary Sunday, June 7. All members, choirs and ensembles are asked to participate. Rehearsals are scheduled for Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room upstairs, and on Saturday, June 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. The music selections are: “Give Us This Day” (Hawkins) and “This Morning When I Rose” (Mississippi Mass Choir). Thank you in advance for your cooperation, commitment and dedication.

It was Pentecost Sunday and Men’s Empowerment Day at St. Paul on 5/24. The Men’s Chorus provided worship through music. Guest Speaker, Rev. Torey Haynes’ sermon was titled, “What I Have, I Give.” The scripture reference was Acts 3:1-10. Rev. Torey Haynes is Associate Pastor of Youth and Young Adult Ministries at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Greensboro. A clergy member of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, Rev. Haynes is journeying toward commissioning as a provisional elder this June.

It was Ascension Sunday on 5/17 at St. Paul as the congregation continues to walk in this year’s theme, P.U.S.H. — Pray Until Something Happens. The R. L. Hunt Inspirational Choir provided worship through music. Pastor Pam’s sermon was titled, “Go!!” The scripture reference was Matthew 28:18-19. Calvin Harris presented St. Paul’s first quarter financial update for FY2026.
