Bowman Sr. when he was obedient to the call of God. The first bible study was held on Tuesday, January 9th (Pastor Bowman's birthday), and the first Sunday morning worship service was held on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. The first message preached by Pastor Bowman was “Being Led by the Spirit” from Ezekiel 1:1-21. A Sunday of Vision, Honor, and Assignment! ✨

What an unforgettable milestone celebrating 19 Years! This past Sunday, we celebrated our annual Celebration of Ministries, and the house was overflowing with the glory of God.

🔥 The Morning Word: Senior Pastor Bowman set the atmosphere with a profound word: "Being Led by the Spirit (Wheel in the middle of a wheel)" from Ezekiel 1:1-21. We were challenged to align completely with the divine movement of God—when the Spirit moves, we move!

🏆 The Evening Celebration: We gathered back to honor the incredible ministries, laborers, and leaders of SHM with our servant awards! To crown the night, guest preacher Pastor David Watkins from St. John's Full Gospel Deliverance Church brought a fire-filled message: "Understanding Your Assignment" from Acts 1:8, reminding us that our power is fuel for our purpose.

What a mighty move of God this past Sunday! MIT Esther brought a heavy and transformative word during Sunday Morning Worship that gave us our marching orders for the season.

📖 The Word: "Pray Through the Wait (Weight)" 📖 The Scripture: Acts 1:4-5, 12-14; Acts 2:1-21

We learned that the "wait" isn't wasted time—it’s preparation time. When the weight of the season feels heavy, our assignment is to press into prayer. Just like the disciples in the upper room, when we stay positioned and locked in prayer, the holy fire is guaranteed to fall!

Don't drop your posture in this season. Pray through it!

What a life-shifting Word we received this past Sunday! Minister Ashlee Michelle brought the fire during Sunday Morning Worship, challenging us to look at our storms differently.

📖 The Word: "Why did you doubt me? If you only keep your eyes on me..."

She reminded us that our problem isn't the size of the waves; it’s where we choose to place our focus.

Our SHM family is carrying some powerful "Seeds of Wisdom" into the week after hearing how the Word challenged their perspective, built their faith, and reminded them to trust God's track record through every loud season.

Yesterday's community outreach was a powerful reminder that the most impactful ministry often happens outside our comfort zones and outside our building. We took a moment to ask a few of our members what effective evangelism looks like on the ground.

From simple, genuine conversations to just being a listening ear, here is what they shared about bringing the light of Christ into our neighborhoods.

A Sold-Out Afternoon of Flourishing 🌸🙌🏾

Our hearts are full after the 3rd Annual Prayer Tea, a few weeks ago! This year, we were blessed to have a sold-out event at Casa Mia on the Hill as our SHM women of virtue gathered to "Bloom Where You Are Planted."

We are so grateful for Rev. Nuchette Melissa Burke and the way she poured into us. If you missed it, catch a glimpse of the love, prayer, and transformation that took place!
