If you drive in from the north be aware of this detour
The North 15th St. Campus construction is getting ready to start its next phase of construction as our new police station nears completion (almost a month ahead of schedule!). Starting mid to late May, there will be a series of road closures along N. 15th St. (WCR 15) so crews can finish widening the roadway, finish utility tie-in and repave the road so it’s nice and smooth again for everyone driving over it.
We wanted to let you know ASAP so you can start planning your alternative route if you use this roadway on the regular. Here’s what you need to know:
🚧 Beginning mid to late May, N. 15th St. (WCR 15) will close from the Public Services Facility to County Rd. 72 for one week. Detours will be in place.
🚧 Roadwork won’t start until after the Spring Clean-Up Event (May 10 & 11) is over.
🚧 Following the closure, a temporary road will be in place, and the speed limit will lower to 25 mph. It will take crews about four weeks to reconstruct the roadway.
🚧 Once the new roadway is paved, crews will continue to work on roadway improvements into September.
