Christian Missionary Fellowship Spreading the Word and Love of God by working together building/repairing church facilities in impoverished or naturally devastated countries.

The CMF is a non-profit missionary organization committed to building and/or repairing church facilities, orphanages and schools in impoverished countries as well as countries whose landscape has been devastated by natural disaster. The Fellowship is committed to spreading the Word of God by working together with like-minded Christians on various missionary-minded projects. To date, the CMF has bu

ilt several churches and an orphanage in Haiti, remodeled a church in Jamaica, added new rooms to a church in the Dominican Republic, and made various improvements to a church in Trinidad. The group is eager to involve area youth in certain projects and to work in coordination with those who have special skills that can be utilized in parallel to or in conjunction with a building project. Past teams have included a youth group who taught vacation bible school, doctors, who provided medical examinations, dentists, who offered teeth cleaning and dental examinations, and ministers, who conducted preaching seminars. Funding is accepted from individual donors, corporate sponsors and area churches. Monies received are used solely for purchasing construction materials as well as for transportation to and from the construction site. Our volunteers are expected to provide their own funds for airline travel, lodging, and food while in country. The CMF teams are all back home now. Our trip to Las Terannas was very successful despite all the rain delays and waiting on block deliveries. The work teams laid close to 4,000 block in less than two weeks. Our bodies are tired but our hearts are so FULL! It was so good to reconnect with Holly Greer and we met so many new friends who helped us every step of the way! It is always amazing to me how God works out every detail of our trip and puts us with his faithful followers, every time!

Working around the rain has been challenging, but hasn’t stopped this CMF team. Even our local help is impressed with how much we can get done! Our one week people left yesterday (we will really miss them), and made it home safe. 11 of us are still here to continue the work. It has most certainly been a week filled with a strong presence of God and we are all basking in the goodness of His faithfulness.

Update for Thursday April 16. We had a really great start to the day with prayer at the job site. Everyone jumped right in to start laying block again. We have made a lot of progress, but much more to get done. Around 2:00 this afternoon a major storm came in and we got LOTS of rain! We waited it out then headed back to our house since the footers were flooded. We will be back out there tomorrow.

The team has been working hard the last couple of days. The security wall is off to a great start.

Traveling to Las terrenas on Saturday was a long day for sure! We left from Sardinia COC at 1:30 am and arrived at our house at 6:00 pm. We got settled in and on Sunday, we went to a Haitian church service and what a blessing! It was a lively, warm and inviting time. Everyone was so friendly.
Monday morning some of the men went to the job site and the Hardware store. Some of us ladies went to the grocery store to buy supplies for the week. The group had expected to get the project started, but after the torrential rains we got overnight, we were not able to.
We did get the footer cleaned out ready for block to be laid. We unloaded a truck of 500 cement blocks and cleaned the property of a lot of garbage. Tomorrow holds a lot of promise to get our job started. Please keep us in your prayers.
