Sunne Lutheran Church

Sunne Lutheran Church Sunne Lutheran Church is an ELCA congregation located in Wilton, North Dakota.

In 1893 a group of Swedish immigrants gathered to form a Swedish Lutheran congregation. For over 128 years people have worshipped the Lord on top of this hill on the North Dakota prairie. Over the years, Sunne has become a congregation with members of many ethnic backgrounds, religious denominations and worship traditions. All those who proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome to become members of Sunne.

Part of the Midsummer Celebration on Sunday, June 21 includes a bake sale to benefit the quilt and kit ministry coordinated by the WELCA group. If you like to cook or bake, please consider bringing delicious treats for the sale. If you have a sweet tooth, bring some cash to purchase yummy goodies!

Our June Shopping Cart Ministry Focus is the Central Dakota Humane Society!

Please consider collecting and recycling aluminum cans. The money from aluminum recycling benefits their Spay/Neuter Assistance Program. Additionally, items can be purchased from their needs list and donated in the shopping cart in the narthex.

And... if you'd like to make an even bigger difference, save your pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charity and place them in the red collection container in the narthex.

The Western North Dakota Synod has elected a new bishop to serve for the next six years. Congratulations to Rev. Lisa Lewton! Pastor Lisa is from Dickinson and has served as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran for the past 19 years.
