This is a very condensed version of Sermon #3 in our Epiphanytide Series ('We Can See Clearly Now') for tomorrow, Sunday, January 25.

1. FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY (vv. 12–16)
Jesus doesn’t just arrive—he embodies Isaiah’s vision. Light dawning in Galilee is more than meteorology or geography; it’s a spiritual sunrise. Jesus steps into the shadows of this present darkness with fulfilling purpose.

2. PRACTICE OF TRUTH (v. 17)
His first public word is “Repent.” Not condemnation, but invitation. Truth isn’t wielded like a sword here—it’s extended like a hand. This is a moment when we are all reminded that truth is not just spoken, but also walked every day.

3. CALLING OF DISCIPLES (vv. 18–22)
Jesus doesn’t just recruit the elite—he even calls fishermen mid-task. The immediacy of their response is a message in itself. Jesus doesn’t wait for us to be ready. He just calls us to faith and faithfulness . . . often while our nets are still wet.

4. CHANGING OF LIVES (v. 23)
Teaching, preaching, healing—this is God's ministry in relentless action. Jesus doesn’t just speak transformation; he enacts it. Wherever it is that Jesus walks, lives are re-written. When he enters a place, people can't help but be transformed. EVERY infirmity becomes threatened by his mere presence. And ultimately, EVERY infirmity will be abolished.
