From the Pastor’s Desk:
Let me begin by giving God all the honor and praise for what He is doing at St. Rose. We, the St. Rose Family, along with our extended family and friends, have experienced two powerful weeks of God manifesting His presence among us.
First, Lady Hicks, the ’26 Women’s Day Committee, and the women of St. Rose blessed us with an epic Women’s Day service with Pastor Latoya Brewington. The worship atmosphere was electrified by the presence of the Holy Ghost, and God truly moved in a mighty way.
Then, yesterday, the Mothers Board and I helped set the stage for God’s glory to continue filling the sanctuary as we celebrated our 123rd Church Anniversary. Dr. Nannie Stevens and the Christ Anointed Church Family were our honored guests, and the fellowship was nothing short of epic. The choir, the members, and yes, the preaching were all Spirit-filled.
And I cannot forget the Kitchen Committee! The food was delicious. All I’m going to say is this: while helping to clean the tables, I saw bones that even a dog would have been upset about. There was absolutely nothing left on them!
To say that I am grateful to the Lord for what He is doing at St. Rose would be an understatement. He has truly set His seal of approval upon us and although I have mentioned only a two committees, the truth is that the entire St. Rose Church Family came together to make these events the tremendous successes they were. It took all of us working together, and for that, I am truly grateful!
Now, as the mothers and women take a well-deserved break, the men are preparing for Men’s Day. More information about that celebration will be forthcoming.
Please keep us, the St. Rose Family, in your prayers. God is in the midst of us, and the church is moving forward! To God be all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise!
