Jesus talked about money often because money reveals the heart. It reveals what we trust. What we fear. What we prioritize. What we worship. An unstoppable church is built by people who trust God deeply enough to live open-handed. Not manipulated people. Not pressured people. Surrendered people. Because generosity is ultimately about becoming more like Jesus.

An unstoppable church is built through surrendered people who trust God completely.

This week, we closed out our “Unstoppable Church: Built to Thrive” series with a message called “Open Hands.” We talked about how generosity goes far beyond money. It reveals trust, surrender, stewardship, and the condition of the heart. Fear clenches. Faith releases.

The early Church impacted cities because people trusted God enough to live open-handed. They understood that everything they had belonged to God and was meant to be used for Kingdom purposes. This message challenged us to move beyond survival mode and into surrendered trust. To stop asking only for more and start asking God to make us trustworthy with what He has already placed in our hands.

We are not building a church marked by fear, scarcity, or selfishness.
We are building a church marked by generosity, wisdom, compassion, stewardship, and Kingdom impact. An unstoppable church lives open-handed!

Last night was special. We took a small group down to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and worshiped right in the middle of the community. No stage. No spotlight. Just people lifting up the name of Jesus.

Thank you so much Keith and Anna Bennett, along with their son David, for opening the doors of Cherry Blossom Sushi and allowing us to use their restaurant as a place of worship for the night. Your kindness and generosity meant more than you know.

There was something powerful about hearing worship echo through that space while people walked by outside. Moments like this remind us that the presence of God is not confined to four walls. He moves anywhere hearts are open.

We are thankful for every person who came, worshiped, prayed, and simply made room for God to move. Thank you to every person who believed enough in this vision to help us make it reality. We can’t wait to keep proclaiming the name of Jesus there throughout the summer!

Pentecost reminds us that God did not simply desire to rescue humanity from a distance. He desired to dwell within His people.

Romans 8:11 says:
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.”

That means believers are not abandoned. Not powerless. Not unequipped. Not forgotten. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives inside every believer. That is why the Church remains unstoppable!

Pentecost did not begin with silence. It began with a sound. Acts 2 says a mighty rushing wind filled the house.

Throughout Scripture, God moves through sound:
Creation began with His voice.
Jericho fell after a shout.
Dry bones rattled before revival came.

The enemy wants a silent Church, but Spirit-filled believers carry the sound of worship, truth, prayer, hope, and boldness! The Church was never meant to echo culture. The Church was meant to carry heaven into the earth!

Jesus did not tell the disciples to immediately go after receiving the mission. He told them to wait for the Holy Spirit. Why? Because supernatural assignments require supernatural power. The Church was never meant to survive on talent, personality, strategy, or charisma alone. The Church was designed to move through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:8 reminds us:
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.”

A Spirit-filled Church is still unstoppable!

This Pentecost Sunday, we were reminded that the Church was never designed to function through natural strength alone. The cross purchased salvation. The resurrection secured victory. Pentecost released power!

In Acts 2, heaven interrupted earth and filled ordinary believers with the Holy Spirit. The Church was born with power, boldness, and a sound that could not be silenced. An unstoppable church is filled with the Holy Spirit, carries the sound of heaven, walks in transformation, and spreads the fire beyond the walls of a building.

Pentecost is not just something we remember. Pentecost is something we respond to. The same Holy Spirit that filled the upper room still fills believers today!
