PRISCILLA AND AQUILA, Coworkers of the Apostle Paul

God of grace and might, who gave to your servants Aquila and Priscilla gifts of zeal and eloquence to make known the truth of the Gospel: Raise up, we pray, in every country, heralds and evangelists of your kingdom, so that the world may know the immeasurable riches of our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The whole congregation laughed on Sunday when Fr. Steve read the part of the Gospel where Jesus says, "What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light." Why? Because the power was out and we were worshipping in the dark! Rev. Rosalind Hughes, the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio's Canon for Beloved Community came to preach and to lead a coffee hour discussion on implicit bias and welcoming. We also honored the work of the search committee by presenting them with wooden crosses handmade by Ray Sphatt.
