9-4-26 - Friday Update

Good morning, and happy first Friday. It's Father Alex, your administrator, calling you with your weekly Friday update. And as this is the first Friday, we have Confessions at 6:00 PM followed by Mass at 7 P.M. Over the course of this upcoming weekend, we have Masses as normal, and then the office is closed on Monday for the observation and the celebration of Labor Day. On Labor Day, Mass will be at 9 A.M., not at the normal 7:30 A.M. And on Wednesday, there is the Senior Ministry at 12 Noon at St. Joseph's Hall. Looking forward throughout next upcoming weekend, we will have hospitality after all Masses next weekend.

The following Monday after Labor Day, the 14th, all of the PSR programs will be starting. Because of PSR starting, it's very important that if your child is going to be attending PSR, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation preparation, they need to have their registration forms submitted. If you have not already submitted the registration form for PSR, First Communion, or Confirmation, please do so as soon as possible, as we need to have those. Again, thank you so much for everything that you do, and let us continue to celebrate this day of our Lord's Sacred Heart, which loves us so deeply.

We are excited to announce the launch of LakeEDGE – A Regional Catholic Middle School Ministry serving students in grades 6–8 throughout our Catholic community!

Beginning this fall at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Willowick, LakeEDGE will bring middle school students together for evenings of faith, friendship, formation, and fun.

Each LakeEDGE Night will include:

We’re also excited to welcome Mr. Kwami Adoboe-Herrera as our new LakeEDGE Youth Minister. Please keep him, our Core Team, and all of our students in your prayers as we begin this exciting new ministry.

We are currently looking for teens/adults who have a heart for serving middle school youth. If you’d like to help as a small group leader, hospitality volunteer, prayer team member, or Core Team volunteer, we’d love to hear from you!

Can’t believe this is already the fourth annual Titus women’s night! Whether this is your fourth time or first time, welcome! What started as just 15 people in my front yard, many strangers, has quickly grown to a beautiful community of moms who are all looking for wisdom, guidance, and support in their motherhood journeys.
The set-up of the event is simple and geared towards every mom. We host 3-5 Catholic, wise, experienced, and faithful mothers on a panel who will briefly share a witness then answer questions from the newer mothers in the audience. We’ve had some incredible moms of all backgrounds share their experiences and general advice and we soak it all up!
My biggest intention is to make this event an easy “yes” no matter how busy or tired we can feel! So by bringing your own chair and blanket and being able to set it up wherever you’d like, it means you can come late or leave early if necessary and also not be forced to do any mingling if that’s not what you need that night!
BUT if you are looking to meet new moms, I have seen dozens and dozens of friendships spring from this event alone! Keep an eye out for testimonies of women that have attended in the past.
Dinner will not be served, but light refreshments will be, as well as some beautiful local Catholic businesses run by moms in attendance.
