From my daily devotions:
Psalm 41 (KJV) Blessed is he that considereth the poor: The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. 2 The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; And he shall be blessed upon the earth: And thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. 3 The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: Thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. 4 I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. 5 Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish? 6 And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: His heart gathereth iniquity to itself; When he goeth abroad, he telleth it. 7 All that hate me whisper together against me: Against me do they devise my hurt. 8 An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more. 9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Which did eat of my bread, Hath lifted up his heel against me. 10 But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, And raise me up, that I may requite them. 11 By this I know that thou favourest me, Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. 12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, And settest me before thy face for ever. 13 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
How many times when people rise up against us do we pray for God's judgment to be upon them, and forget that we deserve the same? I am grateful for the grace of God that He has shown me in Salvation and in my daily life. Too often we get so bent out of shape by the actions of others toward us that we feel the need to attack back. I am reminded time and time that God is a God of vengeance and repay all the wrong that is done in this world. But how much more against those that go against His people. We are a special people and we would do well to just let God deal with them. After all, we should be more like Stephen who ask the Lord to not lay this sin to their charge and this was while they were literally killing him. God forgive us of pride. May we honor you in all that we do, in good times and difficult times.

From my daily devotions:
Psalm 25:1–7 (KJV) 1 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, Let not mine enemies triumph over me. 3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: Let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. 4 Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. 5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: For thou art the God of my salvation; On thee do I wait all the day. 6 Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; For they have been ever of old. 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: According to thy mercy remember thou me For thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.
Where does your peace come from? I find that throughout my life I have been faced with many difficult situations. I know how my flesh wants to react to it, but I find in myself the Spirit of God who guides me through His Word. Even today, I am faced with some work difficulties that my flesh wants to handle, but yet I have a testimony to uphold for the name of the Lord. I have always tried to serve the Lord in whatever I do, and the workplace is no different. Yet there are those that would slander me and seek to do harm to me and my family. Each day that I arrive at work, I expect to be let go. Not because I am not doing my job, but that there are those that just walk by a different spirit than I. They are filled with vengeance and wrathful thoughts trying to promote themselves they feel the need to bring others down. All I can say about that is that one day we all will stand before God. When it comes to my current situation, I have a clear conscience that I have done nothing worthy of being removed. Just like verse 7 though, I am not perfect, but I have never done anything to put anyone in harm's way. I have cared for the people that work for and with me, but that is what I believe sets me apart from other leaders. Maybe you have struggles at your place of employment, I pray that we all may show forth the testimonies of the Lord. May He give us strength and faith to know that He is in control and whatever happens, good will come from it.
God Bless you all.

From Preacher J's Corner:
From my daily devotions:
Psalm 1 (KJV) 1 Blessed is the man That walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
It still amazes me how that situations in life hit and I find myself doing my devotions in the Psalms. They are my strength in times of challenge. It is not uncommon for life to hit and I toss and turn all night thinking about the situation that arises. When I meditate on His Word it gives me comfort, but when I try to figure it out, just frustration. Many are my enemies it seems, but on the other side are true Christian friends as well. The ungodly will have their day, just like I will have my day. My sins are under the blood of Christ, and I pity those that will have to answer for their sins and how they treated people in their lives. I've conversed with atheist and the religious as well over the years and I can only be accountable for one soul, that soul is mine. I can change me and I pray I draw closer all the time to my Lord, but I can talk till I'm blue in the face with someone who doesn't believe and I can't change them.
If I lose my job in the near future, I have this consolation. I have a clear conscience in the way I have conducted myself before them and my God. I have never slighted my responsibilities nor would I ever. Anyone that knows me, I would hope, they would say that I have a strong work ethic and morality. If I do, it is only because of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word.
