October 25th, 2026 - Reformation Sunday
THERE'S NO BETTER TIME: To Stay Faithful
Gospel - Matthew 10:16-23

As Christians, we live between two definitive markers of history. Jesus died and rose for our benefit. The cost of our sin has been paid – Jesus paid it all! That already happened. Scripture also assures us that the end of the present heavens and earth is coming. Christ will come again on Judgment Day.

We live in that in-between time, when salvation has been won, but our full and
eternal glory is still to come.

Jesus himself assures us that no one knows the day or hour of his return. That uncertainty isn’t meant to trouble us, but to keep us spiritually awake. Each day becomes an opportunity to live by faith, turning from sin and trusting in Christ. This month’s series will remind us that there is no better time than the present
to carry out the expressions of our faith.

In this service, Jesus will remind us of the importance, and difficulty, of staying
faithful to God. So much in the world, and in our own hearts, can lead us astray.
But remembering everything about our Savior Jesus keeps us close to him, and
gives us strength to face the challenges of each day.

There's no better time - To invite the Unworthy
Gospel Reading: Matthew 22:1-14

On Sunday, October 4th, we will see how there is no better time to speak the truth. People sometimes become braver to say important things when they realize their time to do so is running out. Our time on earth is running out. Now is the time to speak the truth of God’s love for all through Jesus.

SONGS FOR THE SOUL - A song of COMPASSION
Gospel Reading - Matthew 18:21-35 - Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

Songs are a meaningful part of our walk with God. They always have been. The Israelites sang a song of praise to God after he rescued them from slavery. David regularly sang. Jesus and his disciples often sang hymns and psalms together. Paul and Silas sang while in prison. Most Christians today have their favorite songs or hymns. They inspire us. They comfort us.

The book of Psalms is the Bible's songbook. The music for these songs has not been preserved over time. But their words, which communicate the deep, emotional, and foundational truths of life, humanity, and God have been.

This month, we will focus on just a few of the 150 psalms, meditating on their timeless messages to be inspired and comforted by God.

In this service, we will focus on Psalm 103 and be reminded of Jesus’ deep compassion for each of our lives. God knows our needs. He will always do all that is needed to meet them.
