Good News Bible Church

Good News Bible Church We believe that what we do flows from who we are. This is what the Bible calls The Gospel, or The Good News. This relationship with Him changes everything.

WHO ARE WE?:
Good News Bible Church is an independent, evangelical, non-denominational gathering of people who are learning what it means to walk by faith - in life and in their relationship with Jesus. The Bible teaching at GNBC, rather than focusing on a list of rules we must obey, places the emphasis on Jesus and His Grace. We believe He gives us a new identity and a healed, life-giving relatio

nship with God. When you ‘come home to Good News’ you will discover that we are a diverse biblical community. You will encounter followers of Jesus, as well as seekers and doubters. Everyone is welcome. Our desire is that you would come, see and experience Jesus and His Grace being noticeably lived out at Good News. OUR MISSION:
The mission of Good News Bible Church is to lead growing numbers of people to enjoy a grace-filled, loving relationship with Jesus; rejecting the idea that a life with Jesus is focused on a list of rules we have to follow to earn God's favor. Ephesians 2:8-9
"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." In short, we are 'Turning People Toward Grace'.

GET JESUS RIGHT — GET LIFE RIGHT

What if the way we understand Jesus affects the way we understand everything else? Who we believe Jesus is changes how we live our lives.

I’ve been listening to this song a lot lately, and we’re going to introduce it at church this Sunday.

I love the journey this song takes.

It starts in that place of feeling empty and lost. Searching for meaning, searching for something or someone who can set us free.

And then it turns toward Jesus.

Every single sin. Future, past, present.
He left it on the cross.

Because of Jesus, the story doesn’t end in the grave. There is victory. There is life. And our response isn’t just relief, it’s a desire to live for Him.

Give it a listen before Sunday. 🎧

Colossians 2:6–7
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

You received Jesus by faith.
Now, you live by faith.

The walk is as simple as the beginning.

Paul said, I struggle for you…that your hearts may be encouraged. He used the same word as an Olympic athlete.

Colossians 2:1–2a
For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged,

Wouldn’t it be great if we all earned Gold Medals in encouragement.

Turn your attention toward others. Notice them. Realize they carry burdens. Say something “stupid” like, “I’m thinking of you. Hope you’re doing well.”

Or you could say, “Thank you,” and mean it.

Paul throws himself into ministry because God is working in him.

“… I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.” Colossians 1:29 (ESV)

God gives believers an inner drive. Follow that drive. Pour yourself into that drive.

Passivity is exhausting.

God supplies the energy. You provide the effort.

You experience energy by pouring yourself into God’s will. It’s not easy. Paul said he struggled. Literally, he agonized.

What is God calling you to pour yourself into? Don’t stifle your inner drive to do God’s will.
