We may have giggled a little bit when we saw this... 😅

We're so grateful for the work of Baptist Women in Ministry and Virginia Baptist Women in Ministry as they continue to advocate for women in ministry, and we're so glad to call them partners.

"There is no longer Jew or Greek; there is no longer slave or free; there is no longer male and female, for all of you are one in Christ Jesus." (Gal 3:28)

"Greet Andronicus and Junia... they are prominent among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was." (Romans 16:7)

This billboard will greet approximately 20,000 Southern Baptists arriving in Orlando for the SBC Annual Meeting next week, where the role and value of women in the church will be debated once again.

We want every Baptist woman to know that God calls women to ministry and always has.

Our prayer is that this witness of hope, freedom, and abundant life reaches those who need it most.

YOUNG ADULT WORK RETREAT 🌲🏕️

We had a wonderful young adult work retreat this past weekend, and we're so grateful to everyone who participated! Fourteen of us traveled to Camp Alkulana and stayed overnight in their retreat house. We enjoyed eating sitting around the campfire, and sharing in devotional time together. We also rolled up our sleeves and got to work on Saturday! Some of us demolished an old ropes course structure; others (with training!) did electrical work; and most of us helped clean up Cabin Row to prepare for the arrival of staff for Staff Training this week. We had so much fun together, and enjoyed the meaningful work—we'll definitely do this again!

Thanks to everyone who helped coordinate and carpool.

And blessings to Camp Alkulana staff, counselors, and campers as the summer camp season gets underway! We're so glad we could chip in just a little to support the amazing work and ministry you all are doing! ❤️🎉

THIS SUNDAY: RAPTURE (1 Thess 4:13–18)

This Sunday, we're excited to launch our 5-week "Hot Takes on the Bible" series. We'll tackle the Rapture, sin, the antichrist, Hell, and Satan. We don't take these topics lightly. We also recognize the importance of approaching each with sensitivity and care, because each of them have been used to cause an awful lot of spiritual harm to people. We'll approach each thoughtfully and pastorally, considering biblical texts and the historical context in which each of these concepts developed. We'll think carefully about how they might help us think about our lives of faith today.

This Sunday we'll begin with "the rapture," and we'll be reading 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18. Hope you'll make plans to join us.

Worship starts in the sanctuary and online at 11am.

Sermon Talkback Series starts THIS Sunday! (5/31)

Do you ever find yourself wanting to pick our pastors’s brains after one of their sermons? Wishing you could ask a question, share a thought, or continue the conversation a little deeper? During our upcoming “Hot Topics” sermon series (May 31–June 28), we’ll be offering a weekly Sermon Talkback immediately following worship. These informal conversations will create space to ask questions and dig deeper as we wrestle with some of these challenging ideas: Hell, the antichrist, Satan, Sin, and the Rapture. Whether you are curious, have questions, disagree with the sermon, or simply want to listen, all are welcome to join us. We’ll meet in West Wing room 108, just down the hall from the sanctuary for about half an hour. Contact Art Wright for more information.

WBC 101: CHURCH TOUR THIS SUNDAY (May 31st, immediately after worship)

We had a wonderful "Coffee with the Pastors" this past Sunday! Thanks for everyone who stayed after church to talk and ask questions!

THIS Sunday (5/31) we're offering a church tour immediately after worship. If you are brand new, new-ish, or have been here for years but still get lost trying to find the Social Hall or the all-gender bathrooms, we'd love for you to join us as we take a tour of the building and grounds! We have recruited two of our very friendliest people to help lead the tour, and we guarantee you'll see some of the neatest, most hard-to-find places in our church! (And as much as our buildings can be a bit labyrinthine, we've never lost anyone on a tour, either!!) ☺️❤️

The tour will depart from the Fellowship Lounge around 12:10pm. Hope you'll join us!
