Pastor Bruce Thomas leads Glenville Church with an intense vision and heartfelt desire to see people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Our purpose at Glenville is to first lead people to Jesus and then into the membership of his local church family, develop them to Christlike maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and in their personal mission in the world. 🌶️ WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🌶️

We’re looking for 20 amazing people willing to donate their famous pot of chili and some bakers willing to make sweet treats for our Foundation Youth Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser!

This fundraiser helps offset the cost of lodging for our Fall Retreat, making it possible to keep the retreat affordable for our students. ❤️

Last year’s Chili Cook-Off was such a huge success, and everyone had so much fun trying all the different chilis. We’re excited to bring it back this year!

If you’d like to help, you can contact Carrie, sign up in person this Sunday, or sign up online:

Every pot and every dessert makes a difference! Thank you for loving and supporting our students! ❤️🌶️

What a beautiful evening as we see the men’s ministry golf season come to a close. This was a great opportunity to invite friends and get to know each other better while enjoying God‘s beautiful creation, creatures, and experiencing fellowship along with discipleship… Life on life. Thank you to Spencer Walker for all of his effort, organizing and making this possible. We have been blessed to be able to enjoy great weather. Here’s to another wonderful season in the books!

Come find rest with us this Sunday at Glenville Church.

If your week has been heavy, your mind has been busy, or your heart simply needs a place to be still—you are invited. Come as you are and spend a morning worshiping, praying, and hearing from the Word of God.

Our prayer is that God would speak directly to our hearts and lead us, as Psalm 23 says, “beside the still waters” and “in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

In a world that rarely slows down, we can come before the One who offers something the world cannot give:

Peace for the anxious.
Calm for the overwhelmed.
Rest for the weary.
Hope for the discouraged.

Come meet with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords—the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace.

There is room for you here.

You can say “I forgive you” and still be carrying the offense.

That thought came up during our Thursday morning Bible study, and it’s worth sitting with.

Biblical forgiveness is more than something we say with our mouths. It is a spiritual act of surrender—giving the offense to God and trusting Him with what happened.

If we continually replay the hurt, retell the story, and allow the offense to control how we see that person, we may need to ask ourselves:

Have I truly released this to God, or am I still holding onto it?

Forgiveness doesn’t mean the hurt wasn’t real. It doesn’t mean trust is automatically restored or that healthy boundaries aren’t sometimes necessary.

It means we refuse to let the offense own our hearts.

📖 “Forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” — Ephesians 4:32

Sometimes the prayer is simply:

“Lord, I said I forgive them. Now help my heart release what my mouth already said.”

That’s a prayer worth praying.

No matter your past, there is a place for you here—and with Jesus, you can have a future.

You don’t have to clean up your life before you walk through the doors. You don’t have to know all the right words, understand the whole Bible, or have everything figured out.

Just come.

At Glenville Church, we gather to worship, hear the Word of God, pray, give, grow, and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts and show us what God has for us.

Come with questions. Come with doubts. Come after a hard week. Come if it’s been years since you’ve stepped inside a church. Come if you’ve never stepped inside one at all.

Anyone means anyone. Everyone means everyone. You are invited.

Your past doesn’t disqualify you from what Jesus can do with your future.

📖 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

⛪ Come see what God has for you.
