🕊️This Pentecost Sunday, Carson spoke to us about James 3:1-12 Taming the Tongue.

It’s interesting how something so small can affect something much larger… a bit in a horse’s mouth; the rudder of a ship; a spark igniting a flame. The same can be said of our tongues and hearts.

“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”

What a blessing it was to dedicate these children to the Lord! Today these families made a declaration that they desire to raise their children to know and follow Jesus.

As a church family, we are committed to coming alongside them — supporting, encouraging, and praying for them as they raise their children in the Lord. Join us in praying for these families and for the next generation God is raising up!

Sunday morning at SouthLife was a great time together. Kevin continued in the Book of James, and it keeps meeting us right where we are. We ended our time with people sharing declarations of God’s promises over their lives, and it was a powerful moment filled with God’s truth. Honest, faith filled, and just a sweet reminder that God is moving right here among us. So grateful for what God is doing at SouthLife!
