Kevin continued our series on the life of Joseph this Sunday in Genesis 45 with “God Sent Me Ahead.”

Joseph’s story, along with the story of his brothers and Jacob, reminds us that God doesn’t waste our trials or disappointments. Even when we can’t see what He is doing, God is always at work, bringing about redemption in ways we could never see coming.

Joseph could not have known where all those years of suffering would lead. He simply had to trust that God was with him and that God was at work.

That same truth is reflected in the words we sang this Sunday:

“Step after step, glory to glory,
Wherever You lead I know You’ll be with me.
You’ve promised me Your presence.”

Joseph’s story ultimately points us to Christ, the One who offers us the greater redemption. We may not always understand where God is leading or why He allows certain things, but we can trust His presence and His faithfulness.

God is always at work, even when we cannot yet see the whole story.

It was a beautiful Sunday together at SouthLife as we worshiped, gathered around God’s Word, and continued the story of Joseph.

Kevin continued our series on the life of Joseph this Sunday in Genesis 43 with a sermon titled “The Awkward Family Dinner.”

Joseph’s story reminds us that God is active and present, playing the long game and working through broken people for His purposes.

Joseph’s story points us forward to Christ and reminds us of the “already-but-not-yet” reality we live in. Just like Joseph, we live in a world of pain and waiting, but a day of fullness and communion with God is coming.

Until then, we are called to surrender, trust, and obey, even when no one is watching.

Is your heart filled with anticipation for that day?

This Sunday, Carson preached from Genesis 42, and we ended our service by sharing how God uses the passage to speak to each of us.
We talked about Joseph’s radical surrender and asked ourselves:
Would we surrender like Joseph did?
What is the hardest thing for you to surrender right now? Maybe it’s the guilt you’ve been carrying, the very guilt that Christ already died for.
Sometimes surrender is simply opening our hands and trusting that God is good, even when it’s hard.

This morning Pastor Kevin continued our look at the life of Joseph.
Joseph refused to let suffering define him but instead looked at what God was accomplishing through it.

Our Sunday services are now being live streamed!! If you can’t worship with us in person, you can watch here: https://southlifechurch.org/

It was so good to see churches from all over Wichita come together to worship the Lord and pray for reconciliation between the generations. There was something beautiful about seeing believers from different churches gather as one body, seeking God together and asking Him to bring healing, hope, and restoration to every generation.

What a great morning at SouthLife!

Today Brian Allen continued our series in Genesis, preaching from Genesis 41:1–40.

Joseph's story reminds us that even in seasons of waiting and adversity, God is still at work. His plans are always bigger than what we can see.

This morning we were challenged to: Depend on God for the help we need. Give God the credit for the help we receive. Trust God to do what seems impossible.

Have a great week, church family!

What an incredible day at Family Fest that God provided us with! 💙

So many smiles, laughs, and memories made together. We’re thankful for everyone who came out and spent the day with us. We love being a church where families can connect, kids can have fun, and everyone feels at home.

So much light in South Wichita!

Thank you to all the volunteers who came out! ✝️

See you this Sunday.

Can’t wait for next year! No Pastors were hurt in the making of this film. (They may have gotten a little wet though)

As we continue our journey through the life of Joseph, we are reminded again that God’s love is with us wherever we go.
Today’s focus was on “Preparation in the Pit.” God used prison to form Joseph for the future that Joseph could not see.
