Proverbs 1 gives us this great reminder that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. This tells us that for those who sit outside the faith there can only be the appearance of wisdom but we can only have the right application of knowledge when we know the one who is the source of all things. And wisdom is one attribute that we can grow in and we are encouraged to pray for and to pursue and to get. So let us be faithful to take up the offer to grow in wisdom and grow in the fear of the Lord.
