Yesterday at The Foundry, we continued our journey through Acts with a message called “Another King.”

When Paul and Silas preached the gospel in Thessalonica, they were accused of turning the world upside down. Their message was simple but powerful: There is another King—Jesus.

And that same truth still challenges us today. What does it really look like to live with Jesus as King?

We're often unaware of the negative influences surrounding us, leading to what can be described as 'soul pollution.' This constant influx of negativity can impact us deeply. We need divine intervention to purify and transform us into kingdom people.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we’d love to give our church family a few simple ways to encourage and bless Pastor Jason and Amy throughout the month.

One of the most meaningful things you can do is simply let them know how their ministry has impacted you. A handwritten card, encouraging note, favorite memory, or personal word of thanks can mean a great deal.

We have a small “Love Basket” located in the foyer where you can leave cards, notes, gift cards, or other small expressions of appreciation for Jason and Amy anytime throughout the month.

You can also bless them by praying intentionally for their family, leadership, spiritual health, and times of rest.

If you’d like to give a financial gift, you can do so through our online giving platform by selecting the Pastor Appreciation option. Gifts of any amount are completely optional and deeply appreciated.

You might also consider something that helps them enjoy time together or recharge, restaurant or coffee gift cards, a date night, or something connected to one of the things they love doing together, like hiking and spending time outdoors. REI, outdoor gear, hiking supplies, or even helping toward a future adventure are all fun possibilities.

However you choose to participate, the goal is simply to remind Jason and Amy that they are L🧡ved, supported, prayed for, and appreciated by their church family.

Foundry family,

Last week, while serving lunch to the staff at Muldown Elementary, we asked if there were any needs our church family could help meet. The school nurse shared an opportunity to provide winter essentials for a fourth-grade boy in our community.

His favorite color is blue, and he loves Minecraft and science. Here are the needs:

Shirts — Youth XXL Husky

Short-sleeve T-shirts

Long-sleeve T-shirts

Fleece hoodie or pullover sweatshirt

Pants — Youth 22/24 Husky

Jogger sweatpants with an elastic or drawstring waist

Outerwear and winter gear

Heavy winter jacket — Youth XXL Husky

Waterproof insulated winter gloves — Youth XL or Men’s Small

Winter beanie or hat

Socks and underwear

Boxer briefs — Youth XXL Husky

Crew socks — Youth Large, fitting shoe size 6

Thermal boot socks — Youth Large, fitting shoe size 6

A pair of size 6 winter boots has already been provided, so boots are not needed.

Muldown is also seeking durable water bottles—new or in good condition—to restock its clothing closet for any elementary student who may need one.

If you can provide one or more of these items, please reply to this message and let us know what you would like to purchase. We’ll help coordinate the donations and avoid unnecessary duplicates.
